This is my Rourke 853 Di2 - I was inspired by the steel racers in the USA at the time - Speedvagens and Breadwinners, but wanted it built in Stoke!

Custom built for me by Jason Rourke following a memorable morning spent measuring up and chatting with his dad Brian. At the time, my brief was to have a British no-frills modern Di2 steel road bike inspired by builders such as Speedvagen and Breadwinner in the USA. I now only get to ride the bike three or four times each summer, so regrettably it is now time for my third child to find a new home where it will be appreciated and actually used. Quality specification and lightweight components - total bike weight on my scales without pedals is about 7.9kg.

Frame - Reynolds 853 (Di2 only - integrated wired, with beautiful Rourke frame details, no-damage or dings, finish is flawless)

Groupset - Full Shimano Ultegra Di2 6870 (rim brake, 165mm compact chainset, battery in seat-post,english threaded bb)

Sizewise and set-up are similar to previous bikes I have owned or ridden - Caad9 48cm/Specialized Allez Sprint 49cm/|Cannondale Supersix 48cm (also not 'too' sloping toptubes)

However, steering geometry (head-tube angle) is a fairly steep traditional 73degrees, which is not normally available for a small frame, so handling is fast combined with a short wheelbase. I've lost track of the money I have spent on this custom Rourke, and it's also impossible to quantify the time, emotion and experience of the custom bike journey. I also understand that we are in the world of mass-market carbon, aero and disc brakes, and I have to mitigate all emotion, and be pragmatic at the pricing, so do let me know if I am way-off: £SOLD

I have upgraded the saddle to a lighter Specialized Power Expert, and upgraded the handlebar to a narrower, more aero width 36cm Pro plt. I will include the original 38cm specialized bar if required.

It weighs about 12kg, so light for an mtb.
It can do both very well - the original riser bars have been swapped to cross-country ritchey flats, and the chainset is a double 2x, so gearing is good for all.
