This was very useful for a mate & I who have both had elbow issues - https://drjuliansaunders.com/ask-dr-j-issue-223-dodgy-elbows-revisited/
Also found an Armaid helped. I’ve got a good elbow brace that was also really useful .

Yes I had something very similar a few years back. I had CTC membership so it was all handled through their solicitors. ( I can’t remember who they were but looking it up it was Slater Gordon. It took a while but they dealt with all the paperwork. If it happened again - I’d make sure I took photos of the car and rang the number given on the spot. I had a broken arm so wasn’t thinking straight. Document everything - taxi receipts, hospital appointments and anything work related. I was freelancing at the time and lost a fair bit of work because I couldn’t physically do the job. Get witness reports, police reports any hospital appointments. If you’ve got any Cctv footage that will speed things up. Hopefully you’re ok. But definitely worth pursuing I think even if you have to appoint solicitor yourself. They will either say yes or no based on your circumstances. PM me if you need any more info

Does it need to be anchored as there are several with hooks that fit over the sill ? I’ve got a ships ladder that I bought years ago to improve my climbing ( it didn’t !) and that has a single eye for fixing. The single point means that it swings about rather which is probably more excitement than you’d want in an evacuation. What are you fixing into at the top? If it’s brick any expansion bolt should do it and if wood you can put M10 bolt in as per climbing walls/ new routes. Pics of the set up would help as I’m struggling a bit with visualising the arrangement

I’ve got some scans of a couple of pages from Dave Macleod’s book on climbing injuries that was also useful. Pm me if you’d like them.
