wedge a screwdriver in between the clamp to widen it. Thats what did when i had the same problem when the bars are in place remove the screwdriver

no no, just put my mountain bike up for sale, haven't done this before and wondered how people got around this

Has anyone let some one have a test ride of a bike only to find the innocent buyer is not so innocent and rides off with your bike, is it common practice to take a deposit such as a phone or wallet to stop this happening?

my lady's bike has a crankset that has 2 cogs on and the inner smaller one is not attached by bolts/nuts but with these pressed fixings, its an old peugeot.

I want to remove the inner cog to make it a single speed, i'm presuming that there is no other way to get these out other than to gradually drill them out?

Does anyone have any experience of this?

it's a medium i think but have just measured, from the centre of the crank to the top of the seat tube it's 20inches

Since switching to my single speed bike, I now wish to sell my my mountain bike and before it goes on gumtree or ebay I thought I'd offer it on here to anyone who wants it.

I was going to clean it before putting it on ebay, but if anyone wants to save me the hassle and take it off my hands before then that would be great.
