Ouch - laughing makes my left hip hurt!
I think I'll do all I can to take this further. I'd really like to see the driver 'punished/educated' with a cycle awareness course and make this the norm. I have several witnesses so I can't imagine it will just get dropped. Won't hold out too much hope.
I did make the driver cry... and felt horrible for a few seconds afterwards.
Rather than punished, don't you think just educating her would be appropriate, she didn't deliberately try to knock you offer your bike, she just didn't see you and agreed should learn how to avoid it happening again.
The driver probably feels awful and you are going to try and punish her either by prosecution or financially, I think this is wrong, agreed if she had shot you/beaten you up or caused injuries to you intentionally I would agree with this approach. It's a pisser that you got knocked off your bike and badly hurt, but I don't think this is the right approach.
Believe me I know how it feels to be hurt unintentionally (i was attacked in Hackney (not the same I know)) but rather than being compensated financially, I would rather than the person who attacked me was educated/rehabilitated and prevented from doing what he did to me to another member of the public. I would feel the same if knocked off my bike.
Just my 2 pence, but in my experience being vindictive does yourself no favours, it wastes your emotional energy when you need to heal.

Just a little thought, if it is in the planning conditions that the companies using HGV's have to use certain roads, and this one wasn't one, I'm going to imagine there is a huge case for suing/prosecuting?
This is of course is of no help to the family who would dearly love to have their loved one back.
My sympathy is with them, just the other day my girlfriend almost got knocked off her bike by a tipper truck as he decided for no apparent reason to serve into a cycle lane not realising she was there!

Official H&S method statements needed from Keltbray/developer. There may be a condition of planning with the council stating which roads are to be used and not used. Not sure how you go about obtaining that, rest assured that Keltbray are probably panicing if their lorries movements contravene any agreed method statements in place.
Should all be available on Southwarks website in the planning area

£51.50 including postage, so I think £45 is fair, if they're as mint as they look.
(the £20 postage claim is ridiculous though!)That's what I am saying, you can buy them new for that price without £20 taken for postage, not that in this case it makes a difference, i for a simialr price i could have them brand new, I would?
-
plus the fact you can buy them brand spanking new for £47?
