ok go one crank off, can i take out the bb with out getting the other one off, I've managed to get the one that isn't the drive side off, the other one is proving difficult!

I want to remove the bottom bracket so I can repaint the frame, i know i need to bang out the cotter pins, but I dont know how to remove the bottom bracket.

I'm tempted to get a lot of masking fluid and spray around the cranks and chainset, is this a really bad idea

so i take it as i am respraying the bike it would be best to do the forks before fitting the crown race?

are there bearings in the crown race are they easy to fit or do i need a special tool?

Where can i get a new chrome ring like this one on the steerer, and what are they called?

the headset goes at the top and the chrome bit that goes between the bottom of the steerer and the tube it sits in? What's that?

I bought a bike and one of the front forks is bent, can this be fixed?

I bought another set of forks and the stem is too short to fit into the frame (e.g. the thread wont come out the top of the frame to do up the head set), can this be solved any way?

I've just started to strip down my bike to respray it and have discovered the front forks are bent and need replacing, does anyone have any for about £10-20, they need to take 700c wheels have a threaded headset and a centre top mount for brakes etc.

I'm in london so it would be great if i could pic some up today or tomorrow.

Just wondered if anyone had any wheels silver that are a bit retro, 700c zie that are in good condition, 5 gears on the back would be great. Could pay up to £50 for a pair.
