HI, I have recently got hold of a viscount, but I'm having real trouble working out what model it is! It looks very imilar to the one P!MP has, with Huret deraliuer, weinmann brakes, but it has viscount supersport on the decals! The frame is lugged rather than welded and the frame is steel. Any one have any ideas???
Thanks
DT

ha it happened once with a friend of mine they moved into an old student house found a really nice mixte, sorted it out had it for ages before a girl turned up at the door asking if the bike she had left 8 months ago was still there and demanded it back.
Gutted.this one was leaning against a wall with no seat and two flat tyres and a chain so rusty it wouldnt even turn, i figure I should be alright. + as a bonus it was covered in mould and moss which seems to have stopped the frame and forks rusting.

Just found this on a street corner. it had been dumped by one of hundreds of students leaving falmouth.
Ignore the crank and the wheels.
I have an old shimano 600 set to go on there along with some old weinman brakes and levers. with ambrosio stem and bars.
I have enough parts kicking around to build it up as a winter beater, all i need is a 27" wheel set (the wheels on it were made entirely of rust). -

same issue with a peugot i got recently.
last ditch effort before the hacksaw came out. an entire bottle of asda oven cleaner over a 3 hour period followed by 30 mins of twisting with forks in workmate. CRACK it finally gave. this was then followed by 1 1/2 hours sweating and swearing and boom the stem is out and surprisingly not damaged at all, thanks for the help all be it not aimed at me. -

A few cheeky edits from Mabe/Falmouth.

i went with some cheap alhonga deep drops (the frame was 27")
I also put a cheap 90s mountain bike fork on there which is bomb proof.
