Lets get this show on the road, this weeks segment is everyones favourite post dyke road, namely Shaves Wood Lane:
http://www.strava.com/segments/3260668
3.3km, little bit of up and down, quiet safe road that you can blast along.
There are already a bunch of us on the leaderboards, currently I can see Danny aka specialegg is winning.
So this starts on Monday 20th to Sunday 26th.
I made a 'club' on Strava so we can see where exactly we place with the rest of us on here: LGFSS By The Sea
If you can post up your best time and let the games begin.

So in the alley cat thread I mentioned doing a 'segment of the week' using Strava.
The way it will work is as follows:
Week starts on a Monday, ends on a Sunday.
You post your fastest time from that week.
If you are the fastest then you get to choose the following segment.Ideally its just a bit of fun where you might push yourself that little bit harder and also might find some new roads to ride down. Let's try and keep the roads kinda local at this point in time. There is no need to choose a segment in Hastings. Also lets try and choose safe roads, no crazy downhills or routes with traffic lights.

Albion Hill #justsayin
Holla if you need any help organising Neil.
Cheers Paul. Myself and Lewis are going to have a nosey about and see what will work.
I've got another idea shamelessly stolen from Tp88:
http://thebrokenline.co.uk/resolving-the-resolution/
We could have a local segment of the week, where the winner picks the next week segment.
It might be a bit of a ball ache keeping score but the segment idea looks fun.

Get on those hill climb races you were talking about as well neil!
Yeah I think that will happen towards the end of January.
My thoughts are this:
Find a stupidly steep hill.
Everyone who wants to enter pays £5.
You can have 3 attempts (accounting for traffic etc).
Winner takes all.Only thoughts are timing it, do we go on what Strava says or some other form of sophisticated timing.
Afterwards head to a pub so people can compare times and where the winner would hopefully get the first round in.
In terms of hills was thinking something central in town, maybe Albion Hill or Sussex Street as they don't tend to get a lot of traffic.

Who wants my Wald Giant Basket? All the fixings, bought it for the wedding as a kind of prop now I don't really need it. £10?
Now that we are both married are we going to see you out on the bike soon?

I've still got this frame:
55/56 Columbus Cromor road frame - had a few braze ons hacked off, powder coated at armourtex, some slight bulging of the head tube - frame is straight and myself and the previous owner have ridden it and had no problems - it's pretty light and has italian threaded bb.
It's free to someone on the forum with two conditions:
- You make a donation to the forum.
- You buy me a coffee when you come to collect the frame.
Sound like a deal? If so then PM me!

I have organised a few rides under guise of the Tokyo Morvelo CC. With the weather being pants and getting married I have been a bit slack of late.
Have a look at the Facebook page at some of the previous rides, they have all been road bike based but if you want to do something fixed only I'm sure it could be arranged.

I've got these if they are any use?
