No alpine descents but I've found heavy braking to be fine. It's different to braking on alloy rims as the pads are super soft but you get used to it. Here is mine btw:

I went for the Reynolds Attacks as they were super cheap last year from PBK and a bit lighter than the Assaults. My CAAD10 is a fair-weather bike though, if you want to use this during the wetter months then I'd keep the wheels already on it and splash out on some carbon for the summer.

Also that frame is lovely. Can't wait to see a full build.

Well I haven't got a clue but I'm here to help. Maybe I will learn something too. That junction is really confusing, especially the bus only lane going towards the sea. I've nearly come a cropper crossing those lanes to go up Trafalgar street.

Glad you came out of this with only minor injuries, things could have been a lot worse. Where did this happen? I saw nothing about it (argus / sussex police etc).

Let me know if you need a hand with any bike related stuff, I don't have many bits lying around but I've got a bunch of tools if you need any help moving parts across to the other frame. I imagine it's going to be a while until you can even consider riding, gives you a bit of time to save up I guess.
