Quick question to those who train no-gi/mma etc..
I'm going to start training no-gi very soon and looking at shorts, has anybody had any experience of either;
Manto shorts
http://www.mmauniverse.com/products/SS761or,
Sprawl V-Flex XT
http://www.mmauniverse.com/products/SS535I've narrowed my searches down to these two, I prefer the look of the Manto but if it's not going to hold up to the same degree as the Sprawl then I'll have to go with that instead.

YouTube - Earth - Engine Of Ruin, Live Theatre Alhambra, Genève
Good choice, I got to see Earth live a few months ago, the keyboard player had a solo set beforehand and played a John Coltrane cover. Brilliant gig.

To be honest, Mechamorgan said it better than I could (except for the bit about having a thing for skinny girls).
If it's wrong to objectify women because they are ultra-skinny, then it's wrong to objectify women because they're fat.
I guess it gets to me because I'm American. I got tired of the anti-thin 'big is beautiful' backlash that started happening, courtesy of people like Oprah Winfrey, etc. It's one thing to say you shouldn't obsess about trying to replicate an unobtainable weight or shape (and base your entire worth on looking like some waif in a magazine), but it's another to say 'it's okay that you're 5'3" tall and weigh 200 lbs. You're a real woman.'
That shit is dangerous. Americans always look for reasons to excuse the way they live. It's always someone else's fault. Or it's your 'metabolism' or your 'genes.' How about putting down the fucking 1/2 pounder with bacon and large fries... and getting some fucking exercise?
What do you think of this?

For those of you without the resources/money/access to tarp and water-proof materials for bag making, what about buying a couple of IKEA bags, £1 each and big enough to cut up and get enough material for the lining/outer of a large messenger bag. It could work maybe? Even if the material was doubled up for extra piece of mind. I've been using IKEA bags for heavy items and laundry and in two years I've not had any of the bags degrade or break. Even the handles could be recycled as they are surprisingly strong.
IKEA's started doing smaller versions of the big blue bags now, so possible pannier bag liners?
I don't make bags, so if the suggestion is cack, sorry!

yup, thats why I mentioned it. I dont there is anywhere decent that does brazilian style, bunch of fakers in crummy kick boxing clubs jumping on the mma bandwagon.
You make it sound like bjj is just a phase like Pogs..
Where are you in the UK?
Gracie Barra have quite a few gyms around the UK and the club that I train with have a few in the South Wales/Bristol region. Some clubs train different martial arts but it doesn't mean that you would be getting half-arsed bjj training, there will more than likely be specific days through the week for certain martial arts.

This will become very useful for overnight shifts!
Is there anything like this for Doom/II?
