After badgering a work colleague for a surprisingly short amount of time he's bought a cheap NSR125. Not that he needs my help, but looking forward to getting it roadworthy before the summer is over. Always nice to see somebody excited about motorcycles when you've been doing it for years.

Thanks for the heads up. If I do get another motorcycle I'm keen for it to be tax/mot exempt or not a sportsbike. Basically something a bit different for me. If it comes in boxes then don't mind that either.

If it was MOT/tax exempt then I'd be very tempted. Had a precursory search of likely FB groups and my lord they're full of dross.

@pdlouche what's the FB group/page you've posted previously with cheap bikes? I'm receiving a modest tax refund so considering bling wheels for the SRAD or another bike, albeit around £1,000. What could go wrong...

Bit of a niche compliment, but has to be one of the best looking steering wheels.

Just to add to the confessional nature of it all I did speed awareness last week. Ironically if I was on the motorbike I would have gotten away with it as the photo was taken head on.

Have been thinking about fitting endurance-style axle pull cups and found everything online was expensive and not compatible. After some head scratching and a few cups of tea I made a thing. An expanding steerer plug and upper headset cover, with channel for a circlip, seems to do the job. Obviously bit pointless on a road bike but should offer some protection in a slide plus makes removing the axle a lot easier. Also I am a tart.

Can't say I've ever had fluid shooting out the reservoir, makes me think it's not travelling down to the slave. I appreciate trying to get the slave higher than the lever might be a nightmare!

What's the pressure like at the clutch lever? If you can get the slave cylinder higher than the master cylinder that has always helped me with tricky hydraulics.

Great to see Davey pushing on despite Dunlop and Hickman retiring. Can't remember ever seeing anyone get their elbow down at the TT.
