Masi speciale 56 cm
Reynolds 853This bike is a mashup of components which range from excellent to not that great. The bike is in good condition; although the decals are coming off. I built it a couple of years ago in America, and brought it over to London. It's ugly, but very light and in great working order. With some investment, you could have a great racer.
Cane Creek headset
Nashbar carbon fork
Shimano spd clips
Shimano cranks
Dura-Ace seatpost
Dura-Ace bar end shifters (oh yes)
Nashbar break-levers
Shimano 105 brakes
Alivio rear derailleur (will throw in a 8 speed 80s dura-ace)
105 front derailleur£170

I've been messing around with putting a tracking device in the seat of a bike.. the 'tracking device' is a phone which will sms its gps location at intervals (until the battery runs out). At this point I'm looking to cobble together a super cheap bike to leave out with the hopes of it getting stolen. I doubt i'll be able to get the bicycle back, but hopefully i'll know where it has gone, and be able to start a map of bike theft [this is sort of illigal...I think the bike has to have a sign which says it carries a tracking device...]
I'm looking for a cheap singlespeed wheelset, or a decent runner for under 80 quid.

Solar panalled mosques are opening up in Manchester and Bradford...the Catholic church is buying up forests in Hungary to carbon offset the Vatican. Some religio-eco things are happening for political reasons, and other groups are honestly trying to re-incorporate a sense of the environement into their belief structure...

Ritual Ride will be an outrageous journey into the outer limits of Great Britain. Beginning on July 27th, 2009, Ritual Ride will explore various ecological sites via a 30 day 1000+ mile bicycle journey through the United Kingdom. Join the ride!
Ritual Ride will culminate with screenings of the documentary at “The Next 25”, on Climate Justice in Bristol Oct – Nov 2009
On July 27th a group will leave from Abbey Gardens (a green patch in Stratford which can't be developed due to the monastic ruins underneath), and head to a Monastery/farm in Essex. If you are interested in joining on this leg of the journey please email steven ounanian at diy@ritualride.com
Also, come to the pre-ride gathering which will take place on Sunday the 26th in Abbey Gardens. Map
Intuitively cyclists seem to know how biking is both a ritual and environmental act. This Ritual Ride is a chance to explore this idea through a modern day Pilgrimage.

about six months ago I was traveling down clerkenwell road and as I approached Goswell road I saw a mangled yellow Colnago and an ambulance. I cycled to up to the intersection and stopped next to the bike where there were police sort of milling about not even directing trafic. Then I heard one say "nice one mate, you're in his blood", and indeed I had rolled right into a significant patch of thick red. I just didn't see it, till I was in it. Somehow that explains a lot.
I am in your dms
