Always ridden bikes until a couple of years ago, last in a long line of bike thefts & haven't replaced. Been riding my bro's old bomb-proof GT around recently - to work & back etc.. doing a couple of weekend rides and such and getting the bug back good and proper.

Had almost completely decided on an '09 Genesis Flyer - very fast & light, wasn't sure about the lime-green at first but didn't feel as much of a cock riding it around as I expected - but after a week or so lurking on here, think I'd rather build my own. My knowledge & skills are limited but I'm sure I'll get by with a bit of help from my friends!

So I'm keeping an eye out for a 56-58cm frame for my first build. Oh, and all the rest. Finding the sheer number of bits and pieces I need to find quite daunting to be honest.

Yeah, wouldn't have minded for 75-80 but went for 122 in the end. Will see how high the Masi goes, that looks like a lush frame.

Almost bought an '09 Flyer recently, but not sold on the new limegreen colourway, and at 600 notes you want to be certain. Much prefer the white, but if only they did it in Day One colours..

Only an hour to go, would bid but no money! Bargainous?

On second thoughts, no.

I've never regularly worn a lid (big chin + hat/helmet = uberdork), and I've been lucky in that I've never had an accident, but am coming around to the idea now that I'm riding more regularly, and in rush hour traffic. I figure the longer I go without an accident, the more likely I am to have one - fuzzy logic yes.

As above I think its got to be down to personal choice though. Wearing a helmet doesn't make you more or less of a risk to other road users.

Just wish that someone would make a lid that wouldn't make me look like a cock.
