REFRESHING. No spin, lies or "show of good character". He told it like it is. <3
Yeah, I'm really impressed with Klopp's interaction with the media. No conspiracy, happy to admit he got angry with the Ref, and that in hindsight it wasn't appropriate. He's honest about the performance, and where our issues are.
I have a lot of respect for that.

not go near American football because of the punishment the body takes even at junior level
Yeah, injuries and concussions especially are a huge talking point in American Football and Ice Hockey over here right now. A lot of people are realising that taking serious blows to the head, below the age of 18, for that 1% chance you might make the big time, is not a good trade off.
In addition, playing football is very cheap for kids, compared to the costs to buy all the pads and equipment for those sports.
As such, a lot of parents I know, push their kids away from those sport, and towards football.

He's made people think 'actually, Rodgers wasn't too bad was he?'
Well, I never thought he was terrible. He had some flaws, but with the right players, we had some great times. Are there better managers? Sure, but plenty worse too.
I'd say our transfers were far more to blame, and if Rodgers only had a small part to play in that, then I'm not sure if that's changed. Depends what Klopp demanded.
Klopp has been there and done it before. He did great things with a young, unproven, Dortmund team, and with the right players, I believe he can do the same things here. But the big questions are, will he get the right players, and will he get the time.

Sorry Pisti, but poor decisions are part of the game. You have to be able to win despite them. Of course it's easy to blame that, but in the end, if you'd have scored more goals, or defended better, it wouldn't matter what the ref did.
In other news, this game is so frustrating. Roll on next year (yes, I said it).

Goalkeeper: Mignolet is ok, but nothing special, could do with an upgrade
Defence: I really rate Clyne, especially going forward. Skrtel is solid, Sakho and Lovren have their moments, but I think another CB would be good. Moreno is decent
Midfield. Milner brings experience, but he's not a long term option. Henderson, Chan, Lucas are all solid, but we need more creativity in the centre. Lallana is out of his depth. Coutinho is the one top class player in the team (but needs to be more consistent). Firmino, Ibe are still works in progress, they may work out.
Strikers: Benteke, decent, but doesn't fit into this style of play. Sturridge, when fit, is one of the best in the Prem, but you have to wonder if he'll ever play a major part in this team again. Origi has shown moments that he can do it, but again, he's one for the future. We absolutely need a top class striker.
