So from what I can see, its a 2005 Les paul '1960 classic'
they don't sell for about £1250 unfortunately, the prices of LP's is at a low at the moment, If you look at actually classics that sell through bidding (not just the ones listed with a high BIN price) i think they go for anywhere between 750 and 950...
At the moment even the Historic Reissues (which are like £2500 new) are only selling on ebay for a shade more... I saw a 59' reissue go for £1500, and theres a 54' reissue going at £1200 at the moment...other than that, have you tried 'Mylespaulforums'

To be honest I need to do a bit of reading into it first,
and contemplate the rs guitarworks wiring kit upgrade to get the most out of them.'throbak' pickups get great reviews, so do the seymour duncan antiquities,
I think that at that 'quality' of pickup, the difference between the pickups is going to be down to personal taste, not sound quality full stop (as any set is going to be nice)
but as 'try before you buy' isn't really an option in most cases,
im thinking its just a case of taking the plunge and getting a set and hoping you like the result, which im sure i will...mine has 57' classics in it at the moment which are nice, but not doing it for me,
i want that real glass shattering shimmer! -

Barber - what is the amp you are using?
Company 'EVA' English Valve Amps, check out their website,
Ended up with it because i wanted a marshall 2061x (the 20w handwired lead and bass head) - but it was ~£1000,
I stumbled across EVA through some good reviews, and they do a clone of it (with some improvements, better components, and a standby switch) for circa £600, and a nice Celestion vintage 2 x 12 cabinet for £400...
After reading reviews and speaking to the guys there, i ended up going for the 'TMB' model, which has a master volume and treble middle bass control, its essentially the marshall that marshall never made... Very clean signal path, all point to point turret board wiring, all english made components, hand made woodwork and nice chassis machining etc... all in all a very nicely built amplifier... and a very loud 18w
i ended up with a NOS mullard something or other in position 1, which gives a bit more headroom than stock, although i try to play on 75% pre-amp vol, and 75% master, no pedals, using the guitar volume for volume/tone adjustments, a la kossoff.
i couldnt be happier with the amp, certainly not a bedroom amplifier though.
edit: Just need some nice PAF replicas now!

cheaper to lose body weight first then go for lighter bike.
That is missing the point of why people like light bikes.
I'm aware of this, my bmi is 22 if that means anything, so no weight to be lost here thanks!!
...but yes, like kerley said, thats not the point. I want to do a lightweight build just because i find it satisfying to have a really light bike, i have a road bike and a steel track bike that i don't care (within reason) about the weight of... What would be the point in fretting over grams on my road bike when I carry 1.5L (1.5kg) of fluid in my water bottles for long rides
i think 7.5kg is a reasonable aim like a few people have said, without getting expensive... and i think that will 'feel' very light, and that a 6.5kg bike isnt going to feel massively lighter...although your wallet might be

Wow a guitar thread didn't know this was here.
Will get some pics of gear, to the guy with the matamp stuff - nice!
Im a hardened Gibson les paul player,
currently playing through an 18w handwired marshall 'clone' running vintage mullards- although, likening it to a marshall would be bad mouthing it - its twice as nice as anything marshall are still manufacturing.the marshall class 5 - hmmm, its quite a muffled and dead sounding amplifier to me, side by side it with the marshall 18w 1974x or the 2061x and you'll see what i mean, its just their new mass produced printed circuit board filled junk, imo. - along with the 'haze' series
theres so much nice handbuilt handwired boutique stuff out there at the moment the marshall range isnt even worth a look.
lol hey dude,
i don't need the tyre, just fancied trying a haiku!
Thanks for the offer though :)
