Hiya, I'm looking to move mid October, but with a good price like that (less than half what I pay now) and a nice looking house with lovely sounding people, I'd consider 1. moving west and 2. leaving my house early and wasting some rent money! What kind of deposit is required? Interested indeed!

It's early I realise, but I'm gonna be looking for somewhere to live in October 2009. My tenancy on the house I share with 3 other people is running out at the end of October, and I'd like a bit of a change, some cheaper rent and a shorter tenancy!

I've lived in Bethnal Green for coming up to a year, and I'd like to stay in this general area, or maybe move a little further out to* London Fields/Hackney/ maybe Dalston*. I'd like to live with 1 to 2 other people, who don't mind my girlfriend staying some weekends (she still lives in Nottingham) and there obv needs to be space for my bike. I'm 23 and am a Science Editor/freelance journalist. I'm a pretty tidy female, I clean up after myself and am up for being good friends with whoever I live with, but i also enjoy spending time alone so I'm a good alrounder in that respect!

I'm looking for somewhere from £500 to £650 a month, preferably with a 3-month contract that can roll on, on a month-by-month basis. This is cuz my girlfriend is looking for a job in London, and when she finds one we'll be moving in together. So I don't know when that will be!

I'm after a new saddle, and have been looking at the women-specific Charge ladle. Problem is, the one I'm after, the swirl, is listed pretty much everywhere as 'discontinued'. It is the black one with dark purple/black swirls down the edges on it. Would go nicely with my build!

(powder-sprayed white Charge plug frame, purple Halo aerorage rims and hubs with some 'hipster' white vittoria tyres, raceface trimmed flatbars with purple WTP grips and Earl stem, standard sugino msgr crankset black/silver)...you may have seen me about, trackstanding and trying to wheelie/cycle backwards. Sigh.

Anyone know where there's one knocking about? Or even know why this got discontinued in the 1st place?

unfortunately I have no hybrid scooters of Scandanavian origin or otherwise, goddammit I wish I did...

Not really sure of people will be interested in this but I have an electric bike of Chinese origin that's just been sitting around for months since I moved to London from Nottingham. It's had one previous owner before me and goes up to 15mph. Complete with battery, charger, front basket and back storage box, it's a granny's delight really. I used it to ride to work when i wasn't able to get BMX-sweaty and couldn't afford a moped. In fact, I'd say I was famous for riding it the year I had it.

I reckon I'll put it on gumtree in the next week as I need the space, but people's opinions would be appreciated. Im looking for about £150 ONO anyhow, it cost £500 second hand when I bought it. Will also throw in a foot pump for the tyres.

Please don't judge me too harshly.

Haha yeh it was a great night fellaz and fellow ladies, I didn't stop smiling the whole night and the next day! And I trackstood for an entire red traffic light period the next day too! Won't be coming next week though, off on me holidays (erm, camping in Norfolk...am bringing the bikes and the waterproofs...)

It's probably happened to people on here lots of times before (although I'd hope not actually on this forum), but I (and my gf who the bike was for) have just been SCREWED OVER by jv.

He accepted my offer on his small peugeot ss bike
He arranged a day to come collect it
I hear nothing for 3 days
Then I hear he 'forgot' we were supposed to be meeting, and has sold the bike to someone else for A HIGHER PRICE. Gazzumping like that doesn't fly with me

Totally out of order, and against the way people do things on this forum. I would expect better from someone who has been on here for as long as jv has.

Consider your reputation tarnished for all to see...it will take a lot for it to be redeemed.

I've just seen (13:10 pm) some lads trying to steal a bike on Hatton Garden, with some chunky wire cutters. There were 3 white lads, aged 16 - 22. One of them was riding a newish looking sliver/blue mountain bike and wearing a helmet and an oversized light pink poloshirt and ragged jeans, the other two were on foot, and one of them had a similar light pink top on.

They were heading towards Clerkenwell Road when I saw them, I got a good look at them and they looked at me agressively but then stopped trying to cut the lock when I gave them the eye - they just went off down the road, 2 on the bike and one on foot.

Watch out for em today peeps. Shit, it makes ne so angry.
