i actually find uniteds restructuring more interesting. well, at least more interesting than citys hopelessness.
i think people should be excited about rooney hopefully coming out into a much more dominant role this season and, hopefully, playing some blinding football. there's also this will he/won't he get injured for a million years again question hanging over owens head again. we're likely to also see that welbeck (sp?) kid come through as well as that italian kid. seeing what valencia can achieve will be interesting too i guess.i wish i could say the same thing for arsenal but their policy of only shipping good players out and buying very little doesn't really leave much to get excited about.
Arsene knows. Adebeyor stroppy git, one good season. Toure thanks good luck! Get rid of Eboue 10 mill joke, only need holding midfielder, proper centre half, and not in the pocket of someone who's bought a new toy! Rather be in the Ryman than sell out . -

What Wenger manages to do with his budget is amazing, they don't have the massive financial backing that certain other clubs wallow in. If they do slip down so be it, but at least they dont suck up to overpaid tossers. Arsenal wll be around for ever due to good housekeeping.
You dont get to be a proper central defender till your at least 25! only my opinion mind.

Lets have a Knob twiddlin thread, followed that whole "Punk thing" the great thing was that there was so much dross about at the time, ELP, YES, GENISIS, Rod lost it. Saw Kilburn & the High Roads, one night all change! Graham Parker, Ramones, Southside Johnny, Feelgoods, they spawned "PUNK" We were off and running, Pistols, Gen X, Jam. Dingwalls, Camden Palace, happy days as they say. Saw Lydon over the Arsenal, never saw Gabriel/Collins /Emerson on the Northbank, all made sense, gotta say, deep down have always been a Motown/Stax/Northern soul type, but this era spoke to us council estate scum! Anyway Horlicks is ready, sleep tight!

Brucy and Hoops are right on the money... Incidentally, Clash fans are also humorless dicks... ;P
The Clash might look irrelevant to-day, but back in 1977 they meant a lot to kids living in shit-holes, and fuck all work about. Dont see the point in knob twiddling computer dance music filling the charts now.

Also, many clubs have won nothing major in recent times. Fulham, West Ham, Aston Villa, Sunderland, Wigan etc etc. They all still have hope. They are all still proud clubs. Supporting a football side is not about always winning things but about the hope of winning and for enjoying each game as it comes. Only glory hunting plastic fans choose teams with "history" of winning. Now where's the fun in that? Where's the passion in that?
bang on mate! Can I just wish John Hartson all the best, proper old school centre forward. Get Well!

I got the old Raleigh from Newquay tip, those handlebars were on it! cost me £2. Its tricky getting stuff from the tip now, think H&S have got involved. I think it comes from when I was a kid, we used to go to a tip in Jamestown Road, Camden Town, do bikes up, cowhorns were the go (what happened to them?) I remember having a fixed that i could get up Haverstock Hill on. Me and my mate used to sell them to kids at school, nice little earner!

just found out I destroyed most of the cartilage in my knee after mashing my ACL at the beginning of march (had continual pain since). the ironic thing is I was in the process of getting fitter to do more sports and had just started to do running and even bought a fancy pair of kicks.
But my knees fucked now, cartilage apparently does not grow back. Cant stand or walk for extended periods, or neither do nothing at all because it locks up. Luckily can still ride in comfort.
Ive had this happen in both knees, (years of football) all it takes to sort it is key hole surgery. Your doc sets it up, couple of months wait, in and out in half a day, two weeks rest, good as new.

Here is the Holdsworth that you all talked me into not converting, thanks.
The other thing is something I knocked up from bits and the tip, great for the pub, though have ridden 12 miles to work and back, not Ideal. Not bad for grand total of about £25. Wont win any prizes for looks eh? -

First time Ive added photos hope this goes well. The first image is a thing I made in about half a day, from bits I had lying around, and a frame(Raleigh) from the tip, proper pub bike lost it and lent many times, but it always comes back in one piece. The next one is the mighty Holdsworth, that you good peeps stopped me turning into single/fixed.
"Dude" there I said it! -

Thanks for your advice. I had it powdercoated, and put snide decals on it, but have now sourced the right ones. Its got down tube shifters not funny on busy roads! Its also got a rear mech with "exage"? on it, (cant work out if its shimano, working with campy), didn't think this was poss.
Will post pictures at some point.
What news of A "Faces" reunion this year?
