This is a really reluctant sale so please be quick before I change my mind!
I have a 56cm Miyata Alumicross for sale. The paintwork is tatty and my original intention was to get it refinished and build it up into a real audax style bike but alas it really is a little big and I have decided to sell it and get something the right size.
The alumicross has aluminium bonded main frame with cro-mo forks and rear triangle. It's a superb ride really very responsive. As it is built in the pictures it weighs 10.7kg which isn't bad for this type of bike imo.
I can give detailed measurements when some interest has been shown.
Will make a great cyclo x, tourer, audax, commuter, bike.
Pictures aren't great-

I would rather swap this for something interesting than sell it. I would like about a 53cm frame, full race or training type. Bonded would be nice i.e dyna tech, cadex, etc. Or something old for a fixie build. A good Reynolds frame would also be good....
Oh you get the idea basically what have you got?
If I have to sell then I'm looking for £100 posted.

Any idea how many cassette spacers I would need to convert my 7spd geared bike to single speed? If that makes sense. I presume I will need to strip 2 cassettes. This seems such an obvious question but just in case I'm missing a trick.
Also is it ok to use one of the old cassette sprockets for the conversion or should I buy a dedicated ss sprocket?

Specialized Rockhopper Single Speed 1993 - 16" Direct Drive full DB chrome-moly frame with Direct Drive chrome-moly forks
Fitted with 36x18 gear ratio but I have a 46 chainwheel and 16 tooth cog too and am happy to supply whatever combination you would like.
I have just removed the combined rapid fire pods so the brake levers are not as clean as I'd like it to look other than that it is a mighty fine looking bike imo
It is rather clean, a few minor scratches as you would expect on a 16 year old bike. Wheels are still black where the brake blocks meet the rim and it still has the little knobbly bits on the original Specialized Ground Control tyres.
I have become rather attached to this bike but alas it is too small
I'm after £150 collected from Kent but will post at cost.

I was looking at that on Ebay last night. There is also a 400 frame only on there for £85 making that bike a bargain. I was considering buying it myself but it's a bit far away. If I was you I'd have it before someone else does.
The logic of dyna tech was to glue the tubes into the lugs rather than braze as someof the tensile strength is lost when a tube is heated hence being glued means no heat thus full strength/ stiffness of the tubes retained.
Might have something for you. Its a cro-mo Eclipse frame, all braze ons removed and rattle can resprayed to a high standard in lime green. Looks very nice. Frame and forks only though not a complete bike. Have to double check the size. Looking for £50 + £15 p&p.....
