Is there a London polo media/outreach person on here? (I've tried searching) I've had a request through the Oxford bike polo website for some quotes, and thought someone form London might like to contribute too.

We're playing regularly at the moment, though depending on the lighting situation we might need to change the day/time.

Are you thinking of the Thames Valley Sustrans route? It's about 100 miles via Reading, follows parts of the River Thames, and there's some rough bits but doable on a hybrid. It's a nice ride but not the most direct route.

Find an empty spot on or just off Cowley Road, and get the carnival goers to join in.

Any more signs of life? I'm in Exeter for 2-3 months, currently lacking a bike/mallet/skill though I can fix the first two next weekend. The last is a lost cause I think.

The el-530 was amazing value when it came out ~3 years ago ... for £30. I haven't used mine for ages (got some decent lights) so you're welcome to borrow it. If you like it and you really want something budget you can have it for £10 inc rechargeables, though if I was buying some lights now I think I'd go for the Hope. Audaxers seem to like it and they know a bit about night riding.
