It's from growing up playing the 'cello and gymnastics (as well as other less girly things). Lots of mountain biking too although can't see how that would affect it. Heat helps a little. Been told it's to do with tight ham strings & glutes, and weak core muscles, but i've been working loads in the gym and stretching 3 times a day and it only ever gets better to a point.

Hello all.
I've had chronic lower back pain for about 13-14 years now.
Have tried a number of physios, chiropracters, pilates but it never seems to completely go away. Riding doesn't help it but as long as I stretch ham strings, quads etc before and after it doesn't get massively worse (although after a long ride it can be quite painful for a couple of days)
Has any one else had similar problems? Even after a knock or injury?
If so, what techniques have helped you? Have you changed the set up of your bike and found it beneficial?
Was thinking I can't be the only one, and might learn some new ways of dealing with it...
Thanks.

I did ditchling in 66" or something last time, and found that do-able.
Fuck me I've got this all wrong... I've been riding on 81" - 49/16 and thought 75 -49/17 (maybe 18) might be doable. Bit worried that 66 would be spinny as, and a tad slow, what do you think? Would quite like to make it up the hill at the end as it would be all that bit more rewarding, but glad to hear it's not an embaressment to walk it.

Right so following some further investigation I'm planning on ordering a DJ TechTools custom modified Vestax VCI100 SE
http://www.djtechtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/vci-100_overlay_se.jpg
Comes with 1.3 Firmware which is the dogs bollocks and specially programmed for Traktor Pro, it also means you can use DJ Techtools remaps which come out every month
DJTechTools VCI100SEIs that just a face plate for the vci 100? Wo'nt be a modified vci, just a mapping doc that you import into traktor?

95% of people who produce this shit don't know shit about what they're doing and couldn't care less about the outcome as long as they can have enough money to pay off mortgages and have a drink on a friday night.
Not true. I'd say that, fair enough some of the content is produced to fit a media brief and can therefore try tap tap in to "what's cool" but creative teams and directors have showreels, portfolios and careers to think about, so to say they don't care about the outcome is unfair. Don't forget, some people just aren't very good at their job...

I tried this once, wasn't strict enough to take it regularly so it didn't do a huge amount for me, but my uncle swears by it.
