Cheers for the tips but they are definitely too small. I've had their mitts previously which I bought tight and they will stretched to a perfect fit but these are too small. I've tried my friends mediums which are still snug but should stretch nicely.

I've got a pair of Black Rapha Leather Town Gloves for sale in size Small.
They've been worn once off the bike - never on, I waited for the weather to cool before wearing them. They are just a little too small for me to be comfortable though. They were a gift, I don't have any of the original packaging and I've cut off the label indicating the size inside the cuff which I do on everything without thinking so I can't return them.
They are really nice, I thought about trying to stretch them but the chances of ruining them are pretty high. So it's probably best to move them a more suitable home. One of the fasteners has a slight mark, possibly from the bottom of the drawer, I only noticed thanks to the high-res images.RRP is £160, obviously I'd like close to that to go towards a new pair. Say £80 but I'll entertain reasonable offers.
I'm no longer in London so + £5 for insured & signed for delivery.

Old thread resurrection but it's time to start prepping the winter hack for the darker days ahead. I ran TRP Spyre all last winter and was very pleased with them. The front brakes were and still are great but the rear was always a little 'spongy'. It's a full run of cable housing from levers to calipers. Initially I had SRAM outers which I replaced with Shimano but no noticeable change. I've seen Jagwire and Gore mentioned here, anyone have any recommendations of one over the other? Or another alternative?

The Stages left x2 power measurement got me thinking about how accurate it would be for me - I've got some nerve issues with my left leg. My PM has been recording the left/right balance for a while but I've never actually analysed the data so I trawled through it all to see.
It was a bit of an eye opener, if I had started out with a Stages unit I'd have burned all my bikes by now! Turns out that generally my balance is 43/57 but the longer the ride the worse the balance, after 3+ hours it can get worse than 40/60. I'm aware that I have an issue so it's not all that surprising for the longer rides but 2*20 intervals when I don't perceive any problems, it's still generally about 46/54.
My maths are probably wrong but for me that's the difference between devices calculating my FTP at 295w and 270w in the best case scenarios. Thought this might be useful info for those in the market for a PM.

How long does it take to finish "updating mean maximal power curve" when you add a file?
FOREVER! I've taken to grouping each year as a different athlete to both preserve my little patience and to prevent spontaneous combustion of my laptop. Supposedly the new version which will be released in 2019 will process data more efficiently...
Maybe I should get a faster laptop instead of spending on more cycle related kit?I have a P2M and almost 2 years in it's been flawless. The replacement deal they have turned into a godsend, the unit got smashed by BA coming back from France a few months ago. Insurance claim aside, as far as I'm aware I'd have to fork out full price for a replacement from all the alternatives instead of 50% for a new P2M unit.

My lady wife is in need of a small road frame for training/commuting. She gets knee pain on the fixed gear so something with gears is needed. She has a nice carbon bike but doesn't like leaving it at work. I've got all the components so just looking for a suitable frame with a top tube of 51cm or shorter.
Anything suitable considered, thanks. -

I'd kill for one of these in my size, I always loved this colour scheme.
Good luck with the sale.
Cheers, it is very pretty, I fell in love with it the moment I laid eyes on it. Got 11 bikes at home now though (not including the three I've given to my folks to look after for me!) and some simply have to go. Tough decision to decide which ones get that honour. I'm keeping all the fixed gears but potentially some more Colnago, De Rosa and Basso road bikes to go too.

I have tried to send you a private message, but no joy in you receiving it as i do not have sufficient privileges on this site until my 24 hour new boy credentials have been approved!??
Anyway im really interested in your bike and wish to discuss further with you if it is still available?
No worries, PM me tomorrow when you're out of the nursery.

What we have for sale here is a Rare and Stunning Colnago Team Wordperfect replica with a full Suntour group-set. The Colnago was ridden by the Dutch Wordperfect team from the early nineties. They only sponsored the team for 1 year and after that the sponsoring was taken over by Rabobank. Originally purchased from Tour de Ville before they shut their doors, the story of this bike as spun by Jos was that this bike was a gift to the wife of the Dutch Wordperfect CEO from the team at the time they were sponsoring the team. I've got a soft spot for both Colnago and Suntour components and have a few bikes so equipped and when I saw this I had to have it. It looks as it does in the original Tour de Ville images I'm attaching, was only ridden twice, home from the store and at the Tweed Run last year. Other than that it's kept inside on display in my sitting room so I can admire it.
The vital statistics:
Colnago Size is 54cm
Suntour Radius Groupset
Suntour hubs laced to Mavic rims? (can't remember for sure but can check)
Vittoria Zaffiro Pro white tyres
San Marco Rolls saddle
Timec seatpost
3T Status quill stem
3T barsI paid £795 and would like to recoup my investment but serious offers will be considered. Obviously a donation will be made to the forum after the sale.
I've actually typed this post or at least a similar version a few times over the last few weeks but couldn't click submit. It's killing me to even contemplate selling this bike but I'm getting married in the near future and I need to reduce my collection of bikes to just those I ride regularly, not to mention that the cash would be useful too. I want this to go to a good home and I won't split so please don't ask. I'm willing to post, I'm based in Oxford, and don't have a car but can deliver within reason to railway accessible places like London, Reading, Birmingham... Any questions you may have, more pics etc. just ask and I'll see what I can do. Thanks.

In prep for the Tweedrun and her birthday which falls the same weekend, I'm building up a frame I've painted for my lady. She is very little so I'm looking for some 165mm cranks for her. Anything considered but it's going to be fixed and it's for the Tweedrun so something with classic looks if possible. Not asking for much eh? :)
Thanks. -

I'm a boatbuilder, and I do a lot of work in teak. I can tell you that it is a scarce wood, and it is brcoming harder to get hold of, and more expensive. It's current price in the uk is over £140 per cubic foot (before vat). In south-east Asia, it will be significantly cheaper, as that's where it grows. However, it is a very slow-growing tree, so it won't be comercially available for much longer.
To give you an idea of how much it costs, I've atatched a photo of a teak wash-basin I'm making for a boat at the moment. There's over £80 of raw materials gone into it!
It might also be a very long-lasting wood, from a weathering and abbrasion perspective, as it's so oily and close-grained(that's why we make decks out of it), but it has almost no structural strength or rigidity, so I would question its suitability for the construction of bike frames.
That's an impressive lathe, since I moved out of home I miss not being able to work in my dads garage :(

I have a carbon alloy rim for sale. Wanted 20h but 24h received so I have no use for it. I've got a few on others built up, makes a solid training / Winter wheel for when you don't want to ruin the good ones. This is a Chinese Homage to Mavic, not to be mistaken for the real deal.
Looking to get back my investment which was £103 but will settle for an even £100.
Located in Reading but travel along the Bristol to Paddington train line regularly and can arrange a meet anywhere along the route. Alternatively postage could be arranged at cost.
Forum donation on completion OBVs.
Cheers.
