*Each frame will be numbered and each bike will be issued with a card that details the purchase and allows customers services to log any queries or problems.
*If it is a unipack customer services are goin to be inundated..
"My chain snapped, what should I do?"
"There are strange noises coming from my bottom bracket, is that something to worry about?"
"My wheels are bent, can you help?" etc.
If that's what the cooper brand has come to that's tragic. I lusted after a proper John Cooper cooper as a teenager and they made some really nice bits. Why do all these brands have to be brought to shit?

The fact the CCTV came out so quickly almost certainly has more to do with media pressure due to BoJo being involved than any 'special favours'.
This is just another incident which makes me think we may have a right wing, fairly vacuous toff as a mayor but at least he rides a bike so understands what we have to put up with to some degree.
That truck driver though, what a cunt. Would his doors need to have been unlocked or did it just happen because he was driving like such a twat?

I used to cycle to school, in sixth form I got spds and started turning up in the shoes when our dress code was smart shoes/trousers/shirt/tie. Kept getting told to sort shoes out, kept telling them I couldn't cycle in on my pedals without special shoes, ended up keeping a smart pair in my locker but continually flouting the rules. Had an arse of a deputy head who kept trying to pick me up on it but generally got away with it.
What does it matter if you sweat a bit fuijboy? Can you keep normal shoes at school and change when you get there?

Given that magpies are famous for flying off with shiny things, getting the keys sounds unlikely ;)
Have you tried telling your boss to HTFU?
Seriously though, as well as the health benefits, cyclists are more punctual - we aren't held up by the delays in getting to work that those on public transport often face and when we do get there we are brighter and more alert because the ride in has woken us up. It sounds to me like your boss doesn't want to get in any earlier so you can change, I can't see any other reason s/he'd be anti-cycling.

@Emilia, you should have told him it was CB radio, and had he ever seen Duel ;)
An entirely white Gensis Flyer with non-standard drops, brown brooks bar tape and a cunning rear mud guard outside Ironmonger Row today. It was me who locked my white Genesis Flyer opposite - didn't think there was much chance of them getting mixed up!

@ mccarthy, the miura is beautiful, probably the most beautiful car in my opinion. Best driven through a winding Alpine pass while listening to On days like these by Matt Monroe. While smoking a cigar. Just watch out for Mafia in tunnels.
I didn't like the souped up one - you can't better Bertone.
Going back on topic, despite the fact that the world's religions can't agree on much, the ethic of reciprocity, or what is expressed in Christianity as 'Do onto others as you would wish them do onto you' is a very good idea and is contained in just about every single religion, the UN universal declaration of human rights, blah blah blah. Scary that some on here seem to think they know better!

Tend to go in Condor more, because I can pop there at lunchtime and their prices are good, but I like 14. You generally have to go up to the counter and say hi to get served, but I'd rather that than get jumped on/feel I wasn't able to browse at my leisure. Have found after that's done they're very helpful, don't talk down to you, what most of you have been saying.

I ride fixed with two brakes, don't use the back one much. May take it off one day but seeing as my frame came drilled and with cable guides (Genesis Flyer) it would probably look uglier without a brake than with. I'd definitely cope without, but I find the more ways of stopping I have the faster I dare to go :)
Plus on my really quite hilly commute I'd find fixed with no brakes scary and a bit impractical.

Hubjub Sugino 75 black price is out of date - they want £168 now, and they don't have 165mm. TFG do and are now cheaper at £165. Condor have both lengths for £145, but not over the internet unfortunately.
I can vouch for totalcycling too - they still seem to be cheapest for silver 75s at £129.99. Hubjub now £148 for silver.

You might want to consider a new chain as well - I took the one off mine and even with a decent chain tool it just refused to go back together, plus there are many stories of them snapping.
I reckon once you've replaced the BB and the chain everything would last a surprisingly long time. Like Andy says, have fun.
So it would appear that admitting i ride a unipack is forum suicide but I don't really care and if it means i don't get to join the "fixie elite" then all the better because riding is about having fun and getting away from all that bs!
Obviously the bike and components aren't top quality (the bottom bracket is shit and will only last a couple of weeks but it's easily replaced) but I wanted a cheap first bike that I could learn from, mess about with and customise.
I might be a newbie but so far I love riding fixed and joined this forum to speak to like minded people and learn a bit more about the bikes

Completely believe you, this was Cycle Surgery we were talking about ;)
Hope hubs, ha ha! I used to have Hope hubs on my old mountain bike and the back one cost nearly as much as a unipack I think!
Yo I gotta disagree!
I had a s-kink on my rear last week so I re tensioned/trued the wheel and it was all sorted! it was a propa kinkding too.
I agree with the wheel steal part tho. Most people who comment on the bike always zero in on the wheels. I even had a 'Bob Jackson' owner pull up aside me in flow and ask "Oooo are those Hope hubs?"
I was so bashful that i couldnt reply and just giggled as he rided past.
Next time i see him im gona hug him. -
+1 BMMF. I very rarely draft anyone, because I'm much more likely to put the work in and overtake. But if someone slower than me wants a lift they're welcome, it's not going to slow me down.
I did actually draft someone from the roadworks on York Way - Camden Road the other day, because he was going pretty fast on a geared road bike and I didn't want to overtake going up the hill. But left him for dust by judging the lights well at Camden Road and spinning for Britain :)
