Hmm - that's exactly what I'm thinking superprecise - the prices are just silly. BLB have blue in but for £337 for the pair - Condor's quote to build my pair of wheels up exactly as I wanted (with £10 extra for black spokes etc) was £410.
Have you actually ordered from Aspire dogsballs? Did you get stung for tax? Aspire work out as £267 which is a big difference.

So poppped down to Condor at lunchtime to get a quote for my new wheels - I'm thinking blue Phil 32H hubs laced to black Mavic CXP33s with black spokes and black pro loc nipples.
Condor are only doing Phil Woods hubs in black or silver at the moment, told me blue would need to be a special order then that turned into 'no they'd be £100 more'.
I don't want completely black wheels!
Does anyone know if anyone else in London has coloured Phil Woods in or are willing to order? Or how much the price difference should be?

I'd agree with the first two bits, but brie? What's wrong with lithium grease? Isn't there a risk of the brie melting on hot days and your cog seizing?
Plus my grease only costs £2.50 a tube from LBS, bet your brie was more than that.
I like my Condor lockring, mine's black though. Very good for a fiver.
Buy a chain whip and lockring spanner. Also purchase King Island triple cream brie. It is very nice.

Just before 7 yesterday (Bank Holiday Monday) evening going up Kentish Town Road a dark Dolan with a white deep v on the rear - nice disregard for the lights and finger action at the motorist who cut you up on the junction with Prince of Wales Road.
I was the Genesis Flyer that came up behind you and followed up to the Highgate Road/Fortress Road junction then had to go up Highgate Road, but as I was heading up the start of Highgate Road you had your hands up in the air like you'd just won the Tour de France, not sure what was going on there?!

I heard it, they did acknowledge at some point that it had reached the UK (I think) by talking about the increased popularity of fixed gears, but I did think they could have just interviewed some people in London instead of going over to the States.
Also the usual aren't they all crazy because they all drive without brakes type stuff.

Yeah well done. Interesting that the tea leaves are aware of 'summer trends'. Just shows you how having something fashionable/easily made fashionable makes it much more nickable.
Worth remembering that the official met advice on keeping a bike locked in the street overnight is don't do it, irrespective of lock quality etc.

Nice job, how did you get the decals off?
It's been a while since I've been on here, but saw this thread and thought I'd post mine up, here's mine:

Ha ha, @theteleflorist that is spot on, I bet he was 14 and from Surrey.
I was in Rome a while ago and saw a woman with a goose on a lead. It wasn't practical.

Hmm, unless you buy them from the UK distributor who only do them in pairs of 32H high flange colours or 2 x 28 silver - fortunately blue 32H high is what I want.
Interesting Condor apparently sell them, will give them a call tomorrow. They look really nice and £120 for a pair FTW!
