I know orgiva quite well, riding around there is fantastic. I’m going to be in the area from 15dec all being well, hopefully all the way through til Jan, with road and mtb. get in touch I could show you around. if it was me i wouldn’t stay in orgiva, i’d stay further to the coast in salobrena or motril. the valley rideinto the mountains from these places is totally stunning and in fact you have a few more options direction wise plus you gain the option to see the sea, be a bit warmer on days off, avoid quite so many aging hippies, which orgiva has a lot of. not that i’m saying orgivanis a bad option at all though. it is nicely situated at the top of the lecrin valley and bottom of the valley from which the alpujarras mountains rise to the east.
I don’t know what the other option is like but i just absolutely love this area and can’t fault it really. it’s not just me, i always see pro teams in the area, last year i saw movistar, some trek women’s pro team, and rodriguez on his own (he’s from the area). i also saw the canadian national squad a year before, loads. -

I’m confused, is the bike in the pic your previous yeti or the one you intend to buy? those ones like in the pic - i guess from 2012? - were odd/interesting: very tall looking and steep, carbon rear triangle (probably limited tyre clearance) and option for sliding dropouts. Is that your experience? genuinely curious and the above is not meant to be a diss. I debated getting one for a bit but decided i could stretch to it.

cynicism is originally and usually directed towards those that hold the balance of power, because it is about questioning the general order/knowledge that undergirds that power. to be cynical of those with, in this context, the least power, albeit leaders themselves, is somewhat turning things on their head. it’s more like you want to believe/ are invested in hegemony, or the gravitational pull of power and privilege, and are bending the term to mean ‘doubtful about alternatives or any form of resistance’. But if this position was described as the position of a politician in the West, for example, rather than of an internet random, another way of putting this so-called cynicism would be ‘arrogance’.

if you want to search for the original advice, search masturbation, as you commented that a boy wouldn’t have such problems due to heat produced by constant masturbation. Of course, i forgot the actual advice. There’s a hidden ‘over heard at the lfgss jock locker room’ thread and i scroll the forum looking for material to paste out of context

the discussion with the tax advisor here, before this whole thing blew up so bad, was, i thought, pretty clear
