I've got a garmin 610. pretty good generally,
Occasionally takes a few restarts to find satellites but for some reason I find this is generally when I haven't downloaded the info on it for while.
Don't use a HRM so can't comment on that,
Virtual partner setting i found really useful recently when I was doing a Half Marathon to check i was staying on pace, compensating after hills etc.
The only thing I wish is that it was possible to programme it for more complicated intervals but there may be a way around this, I haven't fully investigated.
The screen isn't mega sensitive for navigation, trying to click some of the options with big fingers is a bit hit and miss sometimes but this is generally after running to view the session, rather than while running.Overall, pretty good.

any recommendations?
looking for new trainers, I overpronate and need a lot of cushioning.
Currently using
1.Nike Structure for short distances, feel fast and light but not cushioned enough, wouldn't like to wear them for anything over 5 miles- Mizuno wave Nirvanna, have worn several pairs of them but now I've tried something else they feel like clogs, foot position seems to encourage plodding [maybe because the heel is so built up] but I feel no pain in them.
Want something inbetween, ideally, something suitable for longer runs [over 10 miles] but reasonably light.
if they were sub £100 that would be a bonus too. - Mizuno wave Nirvanna, have worn several pairs of them but now I've tried something else they feel like clogs, foot position seems to encourage plodding [maybe because the heel is so built up] but I feel no pain in them.

was spectating at Liverpool Half on sunday, busy spots in some places but they came in along the river for the last 4 miles with a shocking headwind and no bugger clapping or shouting. I stopped a couple of times to cheer but the sound of one person clapping is worse than nothing, although a couple of people did actually say thanks!

No worries. They're not going anywhere unless they go to someone on here. Try some on. If they fit give me £25 and they're yours. It'll just take the sting out of having to buy some more in the right size...
I'll take em please, if you don't mind posting? think they should be fine, plus I feel shamed by my paltry shoe count looking at everyone else's on here.
I'll pm you

Does anyone want a pair of stability shoes in size 11.5 for cheaps? US/UK size cock-up...
I ran with them the other day and it's not right. Will probably hurt myself trying to pretend I didn't waste £60. Anyone have big feet? They're Nike Structure 16+.
I know they are the wrong size for you but do you know how they come up generally, I'm usually 11 but need 11.5 in my Mizuno's
and most importantly, what colour are they? -

I'm really enjoying the hansons marathon program. you need the book to understand it properly but for £7 it's not going to break the bank and there's some stuff you can use even if you don't go with that plan.
if you stick to it it'll get you doing much more mileage per week than most other plans and as the long run tops out at 16mi there's no sessions that require you to be out for 3+ hours so it's every day but short enough you can fit it in around other stuff fairly easily.
a lot of people reckon it's improved their times on previous marathons (but that's probably more down to the mileage increases than anything else).
i think i'm going to struggle to get out everyday [2 small kids and work] but obviously the idea of nothing over 16m is appealing, quicker recovery times etc.
yeah, thats the one I've lost/is missing, that was what I was looking at when I noticed the other
