5th spot goes to FS - then?
@Hops...sorry.
B.T.W, I or noone else has said 'tough shit' to you or any other team who couldn't make the qualies. Yeah it sucks for Los Conos and the other teams who had prior commitments. It would have been awesome if every team was there that day. However, it would have sucked way more now if we didnt give the team who finised 5th, 6th, 7th etc.. in the qualies first dibs on the next avail spot.

Didn't mean to rock the Euro boat...
It looks like the general consensus now is that FS should have 1st dibs on 5th spot. However, if they are happy to fight again for a chance to be in the Euro's by playing the winner of a mini tourney made up of any team who registered for the Euro's that either couldn't make the qualies or placed below FS, then guess that's the next fairest deal for all who still want in on the Euros.
@Hops...you can organize the above.
It's unfortunate that Los Conos (and other teams) couldn't make the qualies. But as Vidal said, turning up on the day was part of the deal to qualify (we made one exception of course). We can not undermine the results of that day...every team played their guts out. Otherwise we might as well right off the results of that tourney meaning everyone (including Bad) should have to play eachother again. But we all know that can't happen in the time available before the Euros.
My feeling still is it's up to FS to take that 5th Spot.
Amen

Tough one...
I think the fairest option is to offer spot to the 5th team from qualies...think this was Lockett, Andy and Piqanimal. They were the next best team, therefore earnt the spot. Why should they have to play the teams who couldn't make the euro's?
However, If they don't want to take the spot or the complete team can't make it, then I think the next fairest option is we all vote for a wild card london team. No way should there be a tourney just for the teams that couldn't make the qualies, as I believe it would undermine the results of that epic day.
Vidal...you wanna start a poll?

I lost my jacket + missed the red eye cosmic train to Cambridge because of you!
But hey, it was worth it, had great fun - awesome sounds from 1979, what a golden year!
The highlight of the night again goes to MJlockett for busting out yet more slick moves. I reckon we need to cover the Downham court in some vinyl to help him play slick polo!
Welcome to the 30 club Pique - enjoy.
Here's a few pics from the night....

That trophy is staying in Hackney.
Yep...she's already made herself at home.
@ Actualmatt...you can have a beer with her when you next come down to London. Sure she'd love to see you Cambridge boys again.
And you never know, by that time she could have a euro friend beside her in the already adopted NE Polo trophy cabinet!
Cheers again for a great weekend.

wongGee its a small world. Lebowski, knew some other non forum related mates of mine too.
Ive known wong for years. One of my best mates - top guy. We met through riding BMX when he first got his boys into skating. He loves riding fixed, but I cant convince him on polo - more into riding waves these days. How you know him?

WOW....
TOTALLY A M A Z I N G !!!
From Friday arvo to early Monday morning, my life was bike polo and it was positively asorbing!
So many awesome games, laughs, sights and doings from the weekend to try recall.
Still stoked on the vibe, all the games played and on cosmic3!
Massive pat on the back to all (everyone) who made event happend. But for me the EHCBPC was soooo much more than a tourney. It was the moment when a European community truley came together to share a common passion - was just awesome to be a part of.
What I have experienced in the 4 months since playing polo, has been incredible!
Cheers, esp to LDN scene, Cosmic Tom and of course Cosmic Toddy.
Keep the good times rolling!
I heart bikes!
