calm it down there. i was just entertaining myself. i thought that my verbosity would be correctly interpreted as sarcasm. no matter. can you make a smiley that constantly laughs underneath my name so in future i'll know if i'm being laughed at.
don't worry, taking things personally isn't one of my habits.

am i supposed to be squirming? is that it? i didn't know capitalisation of thread titles was one of the requirements here. duly noted. i'll venture that in my own case, failure to comply with the rules is usually due to a failed attempt to adhere, rather than nonchalance. i hope i didn't offend anyone too deeply.

I've just listened to that mix through there Aleksi. i have to say that i'm impressed. it's quite 4/4 ish towards the end, and there isn't too much of the abrasive "womp womp" that i associate with a lot of the dubstep i dislike. if the music policy is represented by this mix, i may hop on my bike down to brixton some friday. can't make it tomorrow i'm afraid.

"Detroit legend Carl Craig plays a hush hush set this Sunday Nov 29th in the basement at East Village while New York disco original John Morales launches his new album upstairs.. 8pm-1.30 £5 unmissable"
Just shame about the venue and the people :-(
hmmm. carl craig and dj have never really worked for me, although for a fiver i'll give him another chance!
I can't find a youtube of minus by rob hood, but anyone who's heard it will know right well what i'm talking about! in fact, internal empire is one of the best albums ever, coming from a genre where the album is an almost irrelevant format.

@Aleksi - Just downloading the mix now, cheers.
Cragga - Mr Postman is worth a listen for something a little different.
that's an absolute abomination! have you ever heard the original? magic.

i have yet to hear a dubstep tune that tickles my fancy in a way that can compare to the best techno, d'n'b or house tracks have. i was intrigued at the start, thought scream was a bit of a laugh and really liked the underwater dancehall album by pinch. stuff now either sounds more or less like techno, or is pretty boring. in saying that, this mix is delish. it's technically dubstep, whatever that means now.
scuba has his moments and i saw 2562 and peverelist live in dublin a few months ago. 2562 more or less played a rave set!

jesus even the basic channel cd is over 10 years old
there are fewer and fewer whole albums that i wish to listen to these days - Mike Inc's Gas Project, the Basic Channel (white) CD, My Bloody Valentine and a few others
Did really enjoy Mark Pritchards most recent album but nos sure it will still be on my list in 10 years time.
you sound like a man after my own heart. MBV are well out of the "noughties" as no doubt you know. i will 3rd (i think) is this it by the strokes. that album still does it for me. i've been listening to it quite a bit recently.
the first mars volta album was class as was yellow house by grizzly bear. maybe they're not necessarily going to stand the test of time, but they really did it for me at the time.
to be honest, tulenkantaja by uusitalo is probably my favourite, although vocalcity and paper tigers by his other persona - luomo were well up there too. electronic music is not really a great long player genre in fairness.
oh and mgmt - total load of my hoop.

yeah that's what i've been plowing through! snowy, i think i have it sorted. i found a place that rents road bikes fairly reasonably. http://www.citybikeservice.co.uk/
thanks for the offer though. time will probably be too precious to get the servicing hat on!
i'm not sure if this site has been mentioned but i found it pretty handy before i went/when i lived in berlin. my german is fairly shite so it was handy having some advice that didn't need a google translate session.

also, i found that berghain gets old pretty quickly. try tape club, golden gate and the like for a bit of variety.
