Colnago master vs. master olympic
Any difference between the two? Looking at buying a colnago master gilco tubed early 90s - about £300. Worth it?

2 Weeks Ago #2 andypMy understanding is that Colnago used the Olympic suffix as a marketing tool in the early 1990s but the IOC stepped in and stopped them using it. There was no difference between the Master and the Master Olympic. The Master Piu, of the same era, differed in that the rear brake cable was routed through the top tube.
£300 is a fair price for a frame although I'd expect it to be in pretty good condition for that price.

Hi... i agree with pbr... history lessons avaiable at http://www.dura-ace.com
Didn't do much digging joe - it was at the bottom of the page. Seemed pricey for a 20(?) yr old frame - albeit a colnago. Comiserations re the job by the way.
Platini - apologies for the hashed cut & paste
