Hey All, I used to come here a lot back in the noughties! I’ve got fat and moved to the country and got gears and suspension so it’s time to liquidate the collection. I hope it’s ok for me to reappear after so long!
Dolan track bike, no model but I believe it was built as a warm down/training bike for the team gb track team so it’s nice and light and well stiff.
TT 60cm ST (bb to ct) 58cm and 22cm HT
0 rake Alpina carbon forks, undrilled.
Miche pista crankset
Hplus Son /generic hub rear wheel with 15 & 19 tooth cogs
Swiss RR1.1 /on one front wheel
Conti gatorskins (not skidded because I never could)
Thomson stem 110mm and Deda Pista bars (nb bar tape has completely moulded to bars so will be a solvent job)
No seatpost as I used it for another bike. The bike has been in the shed for a while so it’s got a bit of rust on the bolts but frame is in tip top condition.
£300 plus £25 postage from Scotland
(Please go easy on me if that price is miles off, I’m not down with current trends) -

Im off to the shires of Scotland and near to some great trails so its time to get muddy and injure myself regularly again!
Im 6'5" tall and 'heavyset' so i guess I'm after 21-23"frame. Not super bothered about full sus right now but something with decent forks and strong wheels would suit me for all round trail riding rather than jumping. Show me what you've got, ideally i would like to spend about £6-700 but if you have something nicer then let me know.
Cheers!

I don't like to say it but I have to. I cannot stand this new site. It's big and clunky and unintuitive and just doesn't work nicely on any of the devices and computers I have tried it on. All the nice touches that put lfgss above any other forum for usability have gone.
When we moved from the old forum to the last incarnation of the old one I felt the same but that was just the shock of the new and it turned out brilliant once I got used to it. This has not been the case with microcosm and I don't think I will get used to it. It saddens me as, having not been hugely prolific, I still have spent 6 years as an active member and have met good people and learned great things from the forum. I'm not flouncing but I definitely do not feel the urge to check the forum any more.
Sorry Velocio, it's only my personal opinion and not a dig or an argument just saying what I feel.

Hills kill me these days and I live up one so it's time to get some gears! As road bikes for a heavy 6'5" tall gent are hard to come by I am considering a CX bike mostly as kinesis do 63cm frames which are pretty good value and I guess CX kit should be harder wearing. As its only for fairly relaxed riding to get my fitness back and cover some miles Is there going to be a huge difference in geometry and position that means that a CX bike on the road is not a great idea?

@skydancer I found my PMs fine but how do I write a new one to a new person?

I’m 6’5”. It’s one of the only bikes I had that didn’t need full post showing!
