Ah fuck this fucking shit. Finally got out on the bike again after a year of not riding (owing to having a baby, working away a lot and moving to the top of a big sarf London hill) and am so fucking fat and unfit and off form it's equally embarrassing and depressing!
Felt great to be out on the bike in the sunshine but I'm mad angry at myself for letting myself get into this condition. On a more positive note today's ride was better than yesterday's so hopefully in a month or so things will be looking up again.....

Imagine if someone got in touch with dancing James's employer and told them that he is regularly an argumentative cunt on a cycling forum and maybe they should consider firing him for it. I'm sure that would go down really well. It's the Internet guys, no one cares. Everyone is entitled to their own (even absurd) opinions. Try getting worked up into a rage about the horrible shot that happens to people all over the world everyday and write a letter or donate to a charity instead.

Patty and Bun on James St today. First time I have been since it was a pop up In soho. Maybe gone straight in at number 1 on my burger scale. Also they do bbq confit wings which are off the hook. Not smoked but the meat falls off the bone and there is a great mix of bbq sauce and some soy/eastern flavours.

Dredge!
Out of contract with O2 now but still with a perfectly good iphone so am getting off them as they are bloody expensive. 3 looks good for unlimited data and lots of minutes but Tesco are doing some really really cheap deals at the moment sim only. They seem to use O2 so should be good.
Anyone got any experience?

The famous big outdoor spa (seceny?) is incredible. Cannot be missed. Give yourself a few hours to enjoy it. Sitting outside in huge outdoor hot baths whilst it is freezing outside is amazing. All the indoor spas are touristy and expensive.
The old Jewish ghetto a area to the east of the city centre has lots of of really cool (but not ostentatious) bars and little restaurants all of which are cheap and great. Lots of pork and cabbage. There is a restaurant called M which is very good and quirky.
The area down by the Danube is touristy but pretty stunning. There is a big food hall market which is worth a visit to stock up on paprika but is also very touristy.
Walk up to the spa because it is in the really grand old part of town but otherwise don't be scared of the underground system. Reall cheap and fast.
Anyway tl;dr Budapest is an awesome city. Very jealous.
I have a set of undrilled Alpina forks from my Dolan which I would like to trade for a set of drilled ones (or something similar).
They are these ones http://www.dolan-bikes.com/carbon-track-fork-matt.html and are Carbon legs with uncut alu steerer 1&1/8th and 0 rake.
Why not just drill them you may ask? Well I took them to a reputable frame builder who drilled a tiny test hole and rather stupidly didn't use a pillar drill so now they cannot be drilled without it pulling the bit off at an angle! I have filled it with metal filler and it's barely noticeable but as I want to use a brake it would be great to find a brake less demon who would like to trade.
Cheers! T
