It'll be fine. London is one of the most kind and polite cities in the world and it's cyclists are a particularly jolly breed. I think if you hang out at the junction of clerkenwell rd and grays inn road at about 08:45 each day and stop passing cyclists for a chat I'm sure they will give you a smile and say "sure, I've got some time to help you" before answering your questions then bidding you a good day and carrying on their morning meander to work......

I corned a beef brisket (to use the name properly) for New Years dinner. Dead easy, you just need to remember to put it in brine 10 days before and turn it once a day but after that it's just a case of simmering for 3 or so hours. Bloody tasty and completely unrelated to what comes in a can!

I think I will but I'm not sure that my fitness will ever get good enough to move into the training group. Although if it's a dry summer I suppose the track is open till October so maybe I will manage.

I went for the first time in 3 and a bit years today. Had a blast. Passed my induction. New surface is ace. The coaches where great and it was way way better organised than it used to be. Going to try for the 12-1 session for as many Saturdays as I can manage this year. Great fun.
