has anyone heard of armourtex doing a metallic flake powder coat finish? I know it's possible, just curious if it's been done though.
perhaps this has been answered already but i couldnt be arsed reading the whole thread!...
YES.....though its a metallic lacquer on top of whatever colour you choose..
i did up and old Holdsworth cyclone for a mate last year...
Armourtex were good value (£90 from memory for polished dropouts, 1 colour and met.lacquer) efficient ( ie quick turn around) and friendly....cant ask for more really...the powder coating looks REALLY good....maybe not as flamboyant as wet spray, but damn its durable!....my mate doesnt seem to ever clean the bike ( grrr ) and leans it against lamposts with little care....yet its held up VERY well
cant reccomend Armourtex enough....

It really is,
and having another look it is one sexy sausage.
Goddamn shiny stainless lugs, all that effort matching spacer, stunning stem but then a very unshiny record headset that just doesn't compliment it tho.
spot on, on all counts....why go to all that trouble and deface it with Campag?...and the stem pinch bolts dont look so great....(lugged stems are a personal fave)

as i read it, there would be a unique "code" for each nut...so maybe you could start with, say, a pair of track nuts, then at a later date get a set of stem bolts or a saddle bolt coded to the same number???
and yea, im guessing theyre aiming more at the upper end.......mind , replacing Brooks saddles soon becomes an expensive hobbby...
(ive seen pitlocks removed with mole grips....pinheads seem a safer bet...)

just spotted one of their frames in Bicycle workshops window....yet another new manafacturer ( yay!).....nice work by the look of it...
and also of potential interest to the shoe fetishists on here, as they are part of/related to a bespoke shoe designers business....bespoke spd compatible George boots anyone?...

depends on context really dont you think?
if, for instance it was some idiot on a bike RLJing on a busy junction (kingsland rd/old street), thereby forcing a bus to emergency brake*, causing bus passengers to go flying injuring at least two ( that i could see) whilst also endangering the cyclists life then i would say thats a good use of police time.....?
(idiot didnt have any lights either)
*as happened to me sat night on the bus home
(cue flaming/accusations of trolling....yawn)
