Ooh - in which case it goes past the end of my road just after the ally pally hill (there is a flat way around the side of the hill which I take in on my commute!) anyway, I think I have no excuse not to at least try and join in albeit trailing at the back somewhere.

Have done a search but couldn't find anything, so hope this has not been covered too much before!
Being new to road bikes (charge plug) I just wanted to know if it is ok to bunny hop (onto kerbs, over potholes etc.) without killing the tyres/wheels
I ask because I did it yesterday without thinking over one of those annoying car counter rubber things in the road next to some road works and had a puncture within about 3 minutes, I guess it may not have been related, but it seemed like a coincidence.
My tyres are 700X28 not not that thin or fragile looking, and they were around 75-80psi (is this correct? they say max 85 on them, but I gather that the max ratings are just for legal arse covering reasons)? Might be worth mentioning that I am not lightweight either at circa 15 stone.
What say you all?

I am contemplating clipless - not sure to go for the spd's or the atac's. As a noob to clipless what do people recommend?
I dont need to worry about pulling out of them whilst powering up hills (not that hardcore yet) I just want to be able to release reliably when I stop at lights, have an easy clip in, and also make sure they will come off in a crash, fall.
What say you?

Possibly up for this - no real vintage jerseys though - will I be shunned if I go reproduction/retro?
