Please clarify. Do you mean 'uninterested', as in apolitical (in a party political context), or do you mean 'unbiased' (what 'disinterested' actually means), as in totally sitting on the fence/middle of the road?
I'm only asking this for the benefit of P-M's market research.
ah, no fence sitting here, but apolitical doesn't do it either. i'm very motivated by small 'p' politics. I shall re-phrase it to "i detest party politics" for the purposes of clarity and P-M's MR.
i wonder what you'd get if you crossed Nick Manning with Vera Brittain..

There are several assumptions I would make. I think this community is largely:
- Reasonably left wing (or at least not a tory voter).
- Under 30.
- Have been riding for many years (perhaps continuously since children).
- Majority are not 'settled down'.
- Most of us like interesting music - but specifically not just trendy shit.
- Like to think of themselves as Bohemian.
8 Perhaps have environmental concerns
Is this correct, as a generalisation?
I dipped into this thread because, as a baby noob, it looked like it might have some interesting anthropological details about the wide range of people here who share a common interest.
the only value i can see in starting it with a list of assumptions, followed by the desire to have others validate said assumptions, is to seek out others who share qualities that have been identified in the OP as desirable. in which case, why not title the thread more accurately, perhaps "egomaniac seeks like-minded others"?
i am utterly disinterested in party politics in either direction, am over 40, have been cycling since childhood as a mode of convenient transport rather than as a fashion accessory or tribal identification, consider any music described as 'interesting' to be unlistenable to (progressive jazz a case in point here), am not from the Czech Republic but i am very strongly motivated by a concern for the environment.
so i'd have to say, as far as they relate to me, the assumptions are statistically way off the fucking scale in the wrong direction.
does that help with whatever it is you're trying to achieve here?
- Reasonably left wing (or at least not a tory voter).

Everyone else tends to get out of the fucking way when they hear an emergency vehicle's siren. How long did your hissy fit delay them from getting to the emergency? FFS...you have a point sir, but reckless, even dangerous, driving by the rozzers isn't unusual. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7000318.stm
...i'm slightly more bemused by the fact that they apologised, as opposed to throwing lolo across the bonnet, cuffing and nicking him/her for obstructing them in the line of duty. and throwing in a kicking for good measure.
