Awesome! Will watch those over the weekend.
Have had the same plan since 4 years ... even built a bike for that purpose. Sadly didn't put the plan into action yet. But 2017 is still young :)
Would be great if you could go into more detail regarding your trip, if you don't mind. PM would work as well if you want:
How much money did you actually spend and how much did you plan on spending?
How much time did you spend on the road (minus breaks/city exploration)?
Average km/day?
What did you bring with you? What was most important/least needed?
Which areas can be avoided? What do you need to see?
Any great routes to recommend?
Ditch camping equipment if you can find enough hosts to stay with?
Any general advice?Cheers

Had this frame for a few months now but as usual there is a long time between buying a frame and riding it. Also money is always tight :(
Anyway I decided to go ahead with this, as my main road bike has some fresh wheels for this season and the current wheelset is "free" ... as I got seatpost/saddle/stem/handlebar with the frameset I only need a groupset.
The main problem is that the silver headset kind of dictates the groupset color for me in most cases. Also the gunmetal Deda parts could work with either black or silver.
So I'm unsure between taking the Shimano 5800 or spending a bit more and going 6800 or even silver with the Campa Potenza.
Any thoughts? Anyone using the Potenza?
Feels like the 6800 would be best option, as it also has kind of a greyish/gunmetal look to it ... but I wouldn't mind spending less and going 5800 as there shouldn't be a big difference performance-wise.

Well MXL is essentially a mix of MAX tubing and other tubesets, so they look alike obviously.
I have an Merckx MXL and the receipt states it uses MAX, SLX and SPX, but the decal says MXL. Surely they have different combinations as well.
So I guess 'OverMax' is similar. MAX tubing + somthing else ... Or they simply modify the tubes as mentioned on their site: "Tubes: microalloyed steel Columbus Overmax, exclusive shaping with final modeling through our hydraulic presses"Anyway seems like a nice project. MAX frames are awesome! Still have to build up my MAX Landshark.
At which price do Grandis start offering this frameset? -

Hi,
looking for a decent fixed clincher wheelset. Ideally:
Could trade for my pristine Campa track wheelset with Mavic Mach 2 CD 2 rims and tubs. Lockring included.
Would of course pay the difference if your wheels are worth more.
Located in Germany. So shipping is necessary.
Cheers
