Yep, screw on hub, definitely not compatible with a freehub. Did you advertise it as the latter? If so, you owe the guy a refund.

I've just sold a set of 26" mountain bike wheels much like the ones below on ebay. i forgot to take the single speed free wheel off but the guy is now claiming his cassette won't work.
Hi, the wheels are not compatible with cassette type rear sprockets as stated. If the single sprocket is removed, I will still not be able to attatch my cassette as there is no freehub body to attatch it to. The freehub on these wheels is in the sprocket not the hub, ie not a cassette type freehub as advertised. It is no good to me as my cassettes will not fit.
OK, question is, will he be able to take the single speed cog off and replace with his cassette or does he speak the truth and I'm going to have to refund him?
Any ideas appreciated

I'd be well keen on this but waiting for insurance money so if it's still about in a few weeks (doubtful) then I'll take it.

The decent companies like workers beer company started recruiting a while ago but still have places for some of the smaller festivals. Try getting in touch with them and they could point you in the direction of charitees/unions who will let you go through them (as you earn them money for working).

Hi, I got knocked off the bike by a van last week and my lovely Gary Fisher SS is now dead. I have insurance etc but need something to commute on for the next 3-4 weeks whilst the insurance clears.
Geared, singe speed or fixed will be good. Rather get something here then on gumtree/brick lane so let me know

I got one puncture on the OTP tyres I had on my bike so got some Gator Skins and had 4 in one week. It's just luck really.

Are they stupid or do they simply know something I don't?
I realise helmets are cumbersome, mostly make you look stupid and are annoying to lug around but I'd much rather a lump of plastic and Styrofoam smacked into the road/bus/ped than my cranium.
What's the deal?

Just seen this ridiculous article on cycling by the ever lovable daily mail.
Simple rule is that if the cyclist was travelling faster, they would have missed the elderly.
Checked the first few pages and couldn;t see anything about this but if it's a repost then apologies etc

Morning, I have a pair of black 26" wheels for sale. Had them on a single speed mountain bike project which is now sadly dead but the wheels are still in top condition and very true. Not sure about make/hubs etc but all good quality and and hardly used.
I paid £49 for them but looking for £20 - pick up from Archway or can post if need be.
