For exposed bolts like on a Phil Wood hub they don't work. You would need to get some kind of bolt with a tapered head so mole grips are not able to grab on to. On my bike I have exposed wheels and the seat post and saddle bolts are exposed. Atomic was the only solution I found so far.

I just found a Tom Crowther in Toronto, Canada. It looks to be NOS frame with a great paint job and lots of attention to detail. The problem is that it's too small for me. Should I keep it or sell/trade for something else? How many bikes that don't fit you do you keep?

Good choice to go all campag. I would swap the saddle for a unicanitor. Stick with the black pedals. I would also try to find some cinelli m14 bars and a cinelli steel stem.

Yeah, it was def more then I wanted to pay for a pocket knife but after holding it and playing with it at the store I had to have it. No regrets.
I could buy 4 cheaper knives or this nice one.

I got them for the duell but then sold the bike so never used them. They looked in good shape when I got them with the usual marks of a 30 + year crank. If they were unsafe I dont think wharry would have sold them to me.

I sold them on in good faith and when jetski was unhappy with them I offered him a full refund. He wants a refund first and I will not do that.
This transaction has gone on for so long. he constantly lowballed me on prices and even wanted a discount on shipping to Berlin. I sold the cranks for less then I paid for and lost some money on the shipping.

anyways I have sold and bought stuff here and always donated and kept everything in the spirit of the forum. I offered tools and help and tried to be involved in the community rather then just selling stuff.

Lesson learned is sell local or go to ebay. It really is not worth the hassle.

id get a 42. way more comfortable. I had the 42 and loved it. I think the 40 would not be wide enough to give your hands a comfortable space on the tops. Especially for longer touring rides you will notice the comfort of the wider bar.

sidi shoes are back up for sale as chainbreaker is gonna let someone else buy them as he already has some.

yeah surly 1/8. 17 is used for about 500 miles. 19 not used at all but has some smoke black soot on it.
