why should you have to secure your bike with ridiculous amounts of hardware? Why should it be your fault that your bike gets stolen? The person who steals it is just the antisocial moron who is always at fault, who has the problem and sadly shouldnt have the thought "oo that would be an easy steal, I will have that".
Those cheap locks are fine (i would imagine) in places where you are just trying to secure your bike to stop some drunk wandering off with it, not trying to make it impregnable to an aerial bombardment like in london.

my bike came up on FGG today so might as well share it with you lot as well. I know it'll get rubbished on here, but then again the nice e-mails I've gotten from FGG users will make up for it
thanks to whole fgss site for general help as I was building, and moreover to dogsballs for making the wheels - great job
for looks I should get some different bartape and white toe straps, but budget is finished for now so it'll have to wait. oh, and i really wish I had all white tyres.
This is just what I needed to spur me on with my carlton conversion. I've got open pros coming my way to, glad they look good! Also like the crankset, may have to aquire some, been wondering what would look good!

Just got my JRJ back from colour tech. Yay! Looks bonkers.
Horatio! Step away from the French Blue! Please! umm I mean uhh ooh that number 29 colour looks saweeet ...
BTW if you want to save a few bob, consider using Colour Tech for this paint job. Just picked up my path frame from Dave Crowe today, looks a really good job, good filling work of some holes and attention to detail not bad at all. Not as good as my Mercian job but near as dammit, for a *lot *less dorra. Let's just say he didn't have a 'rate card' where every little thing was itemised.
Also, check out the WICKED block letter Mercian decals that Nick Tithecott has (H Lloyd cycles, the decal don). One up all us gothic script Mercian arseholes.
Hi, welcome etc.
Have you smacked the top of the expander bolt with something heavy yet? Don't undo it loads (the expander will fall off into the headtube if you do), just a bit, then hit it, the expander's probably stuck in the stem. Make sense?Yeah it does, I'll give it a go, but I think its more than that, I think the stem itself might be stuck in, if thats even possible? Might just take it to my local bike shop and get them to check it out.
But thanks for the advice! -
