If it was installed correctly then the olive would be permanently attached to the hose afaik. I've never been able to remove a crushed olive from a previously installed hose before.

GP1 are recommended for bars with 30deg backsweep or less. GC1 are recommended for bars with more. Sounds like your setup might be better suited to the GC1

Muc-Off stuff is generally awful. Especially their chain lube

I personally wouldn't space out the 68mm road BB cups - just not enough thread to add spacers. I found out that the hard way - new BB and BB shell re-tap required. For the cost of a MTB BB it's just not worth it
