the largest amphibious assault in history and logistically extremely challenging
I am talking about a hybrid invasion of the Kinmen islands for the symbolic value, not the entire island of Taiwan. A risky undertaking for China, but with some hybrid warfare moves one reckons it would be logistically doable.

If only there were a real life ignore list.
I tried to start a thread about this. Absolutely bombed.

yeaaah.....
I've listened to nearly every episode of BTB, but the host just doesn't have the interesting personality that he thinks he has. It seems as if he grew up in a very restrictive right wing, religious environment, which to him means that anything he can come up with that breaks with that tradition is somehow worth making a big deal about.
Really, in terms of booze/drugs/sex/general slacker attitude he's about average compared to the LFGSS members I've met on forum rides. -
A lot of the time a podcast has interesting subject matter that is dragged down by annoying hosts.
I think 'If Books Could Kill' has a good balance between good research and good delivery. I'm particularly impressed with the camp guy, seems super smart, has a very succinct way of pinpointing things. -

I am keeping a pair of chelsea boots at work to wear during office hours. I just don't see myself sitting at work doing the full polish with brushes and cloths etc, so what's the lowest effort shoe care routine I could establish for a weekly(?) routine. I am thinking there must exist a sweet spot of low effort yet significantly improved product lifetime.

latinos .. [that] ... are just vehemently anti left wing policies in general
I worked with some of these. From the Cuban community in Miami. I think they reasoned that immigrants of the right kind would still get trough somehow. I guess they favoured those that were already middle- or upper class in their birth country. They may not be that far from the truth either, no policy will realistically deliver absolute zero immigration, so for some voters it becomes a matter of being in a position to dictate how the flow should be filtered.

What would you rather do, have meetings with attractive sales reps from private vendors who stroke your ego and tell you how amazing everything will be if you just find a way to privatise, or repeated meetings with haggard looking trade union reps who keep going on about how underfunded they are?
