What ever the fee , some thought shouild be put into how and when it would be introduced
Marketing people can perhaps offer advice on this
If you do charge a fee or create a club , then you may want legal advice as to what relationship the forum, ie does it become a legal person, has with its members.
Legal people can join in now.
Thankfully, members don't enter into tiresome speculation about people or events that might attract our learned friends. However , this mmight change

First of all, thank you to every one who has asked for an invite to my “private jumble . You should by now have recived a PM with the whereabouts and time of the Jumble. PM me if I have still not replied to you
The response has been great so far , and I think our house can handle a few more customers, so PM if any more of you want to come.
Walthamstow and East London people who just want to eat cake, meet other cyclists and discuss the virtues of radial spoking are especially welcome.
Cakes- I can promise you fudge brownies, Bara brith, carrot cake , and a walnut cake. Cakes will also be sold to take home. The cakes will be made using top notch ingredients following the recipes of La Nigella and Mary Berry.
Other sellers
A couple of you have PM ed me asking if they can sell stuff as well. I am happy to allow this provided it’s a few bits and pieces only . If this jumble works out, then I d be glad to discuss holding another one later in the year. The Catalogue.
This is still a work in progress. There are now photos posted in “Photos" under Jumble. I will try and upload more, though it's a bit tedious to do and the quality is not great when the photos are taken indoors
None the less , here is part one of the catalogue..Some pictures of these bits have been uploaded.

I did it the first time in 97 on a similar weekly mileage. Mind you, I had done a good few 50 to 70 mile rides in the past.
Try and do some 50mile plus rides before then. You can do some thing like Dunmow and back which should be 50 miles. Or just get used to riding for longer. The other thing about long distance rides is comfort. So yes to new shorts.
Oh and do try out all the kit you need before the ride.
How bad is not that bad? In comparison to lets say shooters hill or any hill in london?
I am excited but also terrified that I'll have a go at this. I do have a 10m commute each way regularly on an easy gear fixed, max i've done in a day is around 30 - 35 or so. Will do some prep rides this and next month, but yeah, still scared in a way.
Guess i'll buy some assos cream and bib shorts with extra padding :/

This
http://www.prodigalchild.net/Bicycle6.htm
is the link to the Dave Moulton fit chart.
Not bad for size, stem lenght etc - other parts such as saddle height and saddle set back need to be done by feel . Possibly a bit on the small side. I don't think it works as well with the Lemond measurments
