Here's mine, built with Campag 11 speed Athena by Rob Sargent.

I have a Cinelli frame in Columbus Genius tubing, had it for about ten or so years. Rides beautifully, never dinged or dented even after being hit by a motorbike (it's 54cm and I'm about 60kg).

Campagnolo Palladio - both short and long-sleeve - look great and work very well; I would also recommend PedalEd. Both are, of course, reassuringly expensive as is the rouleur list.

As a 70 year old in good health in North London I was surprised to get a call from my GP surgery yesterday telling me I had an appointment today to receive the Covid vaccine. I duly went along (Lordship Lane N17 health centre) where the receptionist was unsure I should get it but the manager gave the go-ahead. All very efficiently done but I'm puzzled as London, I believe, is lagging in the roll-out.

My OH got this, kinda 'here you are, do it yourself'.

Being seventy I get offered the flu jab every year and take up the offer, can't recall ever having side effects. Last time I had flu, I think, was as a kid (last similar thing was chicken pox about 15 years ago). Am I right in thinking that you should take up the offer as you might be a carrier without any symptoms but still pass it on?

For those who might still enjoy the pleasure of wearing a tie,Chinese silk ties from back in the 80s (when I had a girlfriend from Beijing), most never worn. I'm in North London (Crouch End) but happy to meet up across London.

My neighbour packed in being a graphic designer to become a gardener, joining the host of other middle-aged male gardeners cutting hedges in my North London neighbourhood. He sports a pony-tail and permanent workwear and his wife is now the main breadwinner.

I think Prz's post has answered your question but you should bear in mind that you can't currently cross the Green Line south to north, unless you are a resident. The North/Turkish side has strict testing and quarantine in place at the moment.

It's been that way for sometime but you should be able to get a 60+ Oyster card. The only difference, I think, is that a Freedom Pass allows you to free use of buses anywhere across the country (as well as full public transport use across London) whereas a 60+ card does not. This may, of course, all change temporarily/permanently soon.

Hi Oliver, no, I have a place on the Isle of Sheppey where I was born and grew up (kept the house on after my dad died and been gradually getting it back into order). Thought it better to lockdown here to look after the garden and vegetable plots - just wish it would rain! All the best.

Totally agree. I'm out everyday exploring North Kent in and around the Isle of Sheppey. At Lower Halstow Old Brickworks Dock yesterday.
