Hi all,
After getting my bike nicked last week i need some transport to get to work cause the bus drove me mad this week. Skated (arbor longboard) 6 miles all the way home on friday night cause i couldn't face the bus.Looking to spend up to £50, don't mind doing some a bit of cleaning new inner tubes etc but must be easily bought back up to standard.
6'1 so about a 58cm frame would suit.
Cheers

Hi All,
I will be posting this on the stolen bikes thread too.Last night some cock-smokers who have managed to gain access to our shared hallway and steel both mine and my girlfriends bikes. Both were locked but not too anything.
Mine was a converted Peugeot single speed with a lovely turquoise blue frame, white grip tape, front deep rim weinmen black wheel and back condor hub (black) with Mavic sport rim(silver). Brand new shimmed seat post a dead givaway.
I should mention also that it now sports BLB cranks, v8 (or something pedals) and a Taigra front brake. Back brake still original. So a little different from the picture.
My girls was a old Sirrus dark grey with rack and adjustable handlebar stem with ladies drop handlebars.
Both bikes have become our lifelines since moving flats and we do not know how we can afford to eat and get to work for the rest of the month!!!!
Photo is from before i changed the wheels
any leads welcome as i want my bike back!!!!

Hoped i would never have to post on this thread, but...
Looks like someone made off with my flatmates bike from our communal hallway. My bike was also unlocked in the same hall way but still there cause its not as nice looking. we live n16.
Genesis Flyer: white frame with distinctive red handle bar tape(brand new), Open sport rims (near new with nifty holographic stickers still attached) and reflective tribal pattern stickers on the frame (black in daylight). Full mudguards. Looks used as is commuted on most days (except red grip tape which is brand new and still shiny).
Any leads welcome but not hopeful. end with massive un-smily face : - (

What he means is forum etiquette requires you not to post it on here if you have it on Ebay
Basic rules for classifieds:
You must post the classified advert in the Classifieds forum.
You must use a thread prefix if one is applicable. If more than one is applicable you must select the one that you most wish to happen. I.e. select "For Sale" even if you are also willing to trade but would prefer to sell.
If you are selling your item via eBay or another site, and the audience is not restricted to the forum membership, then you should NOT post it on here as it will be deleted (read the first paragraph of this post again). Exception: Other people are allowed to discover your eBay advert and post it in the eBay/Craigslist finds thread, but YOU should NOT do this.
No bumping on anything you're offering (for sale or trade)! Exceptions: 1) If you included a price as per the advisory, you can bump the thread to drop the price. 2) If you hadn't added enough information (such as photos) and now want to.
No fishing expeditions. You are either selling something or you're not. Either it's in the classifieds or it's deleted. -

Hi,
I have an old Peugeot and am looking at up dating the seatpost. Problem is its a weird size. I don't have a micro meter but it think it is the region of 21-22mm.If anyone knows what sizes fit that would be great but also if they have one for sale with a modern seat clamp that would be even better.
Thanks in advance!!!

Macpac prophet jkt Price: £90
One used but in good condition Macpac Prophet XCR shell jacket Size XL colour Slate.I have had this knocking about for a while but always end using my Paclite jkt so thought i would sell it. Is same colour as picture in following link
http://www.good-sports.co.nz/clothing/macpac/Prophet.htm
Built tough this would be a great workhorse Jkt for someone waiting to stay seriously dry. I work in an outdoor shop and i still think the fit on this jkt is one of the best i have come across.
Berghaus asylum jkt Price: £99
It has 240gm Primaloft sport in the body and 180gm in the arms. This is a size Large Black modal with reflectives under the forearms and on top of the hood so you can be seen at night.Last used in anger belaying in Norway Ice climbing last season, although i wore to the fireworks on the Thames and was not one bit cold although the air temp was 0 degrees and we stood around for 2 hrs doing nothing.
It is used but in good condition with no rips or tears. These retail for over £300 new. Selling to raise money for a new camera.
Cheers

Its interesting to note i have seen a mixed response to BLB on these forums, certainly looking back through the process of replacing old parts for decent parts, i would look some more before buying stuff from there.
The cranks come in a nice box which says jack shit about relevant info such as are they ISO or JIS and what lenght BB to use to achieve a track chainline. I am being a numpty or should parts detail these things to save alot of hassle and guess work???

Yeah i think they are just generic, taiwanese factory, type ones. Bit gutted, did some research and could have got them cheaper under a different brand name at a different shop. I think Andel are the same as well. FSA Vero look pretty similar as well.
I was thinking of attaching the chainring on the inside of the crank, that would move it inside a good 5mm i think. need longer bolts though. hmm not sure what to do .

Just bought the BLB crankset and put them on a 110mm BB and it gives me a chainline of i think 48mm ish. Someone has this set up on a Formula hub (from the transmission database database)
Andel + Shimano UN54 110mm + Forumla + EAI = Jaimes
I am struggling to make sense. Does the formula hub not have a 42mm chainline?
The next line is
Andel/BLB + Sugino 103mm + zenith/formula + surly = dinosaurHow can the same cranks on different BB's with similar hubs achieve a decent chainline? What happened to that 7mm????
I need to buy a wheel this weekend but this has me beat : (
We checked down Sclater(?) st and did a couple of laps throuh the market there but was more on the look out for my frame than parts (doh).
