FWIW I too have found GA2G's "lists" useful and truthfully cannot understand why anyone would object to them. As to PM I agree that he was a twat but my feeling is that his naivety in posting was borne out of a genuine lack of self awareness rather than any desire to piss you lot off. As to whether he should be banned? I dunno. I certainly looked forward to his ejit posts when I logged on and the sound and fury that followed! In PM's absence who is going to be the next sacrificial lamb to offer themselves up to the forum slaughter?

@woodrow - I agree that it is unethical to detain people (esp children) in a prison with convicted criminals merely because they are seeking to escape from an awful situation in another country but is that Pennine House (I understand it is purpose built airside at Manc Airport) and where are these houses that you mention? Indeed even if such houses were available how would people be prevented from absconding? Regrettably these issues need to be thought through before a solution is found and merely closing such facilities does not solve the problem.

Hallelujah - I confess. I knowingly added a post to an old "helmet" thread. I have now seen the light and the error of my ways and repent. Wearing a helmet is a personal ting and I will not knowlingly force my views on others. Now about that RLJ thread....
