Decided to sell this on as there is something else I would prefer.
Bought new from Condor in November, I have the recipt with frame number etc. Only ever riden indoor at Newport, and only stored inside my house. It has never been dropped. Condition is perfect, ie as new. There are no scratches, dents or marks anywhere on it. The only thing which shows it having been built up are the marks on the track ends. It is difficult to tell in the pics but the track ends have replacable steel inserts. The fork is carbon. Frame and fork are undrilled.
It is 55cm ST c-c and 55.5cm TT c-c equivalent.

Included is the frame, fork, integrated aheadset, Deda big logo 100mm stem, Condor Seatpost clamp & Condor Headset top cap.
Price is £400 cash. To be collected from Reading. For my fuel money I may be able to bring it into the outskirts of London to meet.

I've hit 55mph a few times on Tytherleigh Hill (A358) near the East Devon/Dorset border on my road bike. Its about 1/2 mile long and really steep. Its an easy and relatively safe spot to do it though as its dead straight with a nice gentle uphill run out at the end, no need to use brakes.
Ive never been much over 39mph on fixed, far more scary.

4: Chain drive tension doesn't load suspension. Complex (heavy, flexy) multi-element linkages are designed to get around the problem with varying degrees of success, but making the drive sprocket and swing arm pivot concentric is a perfect and simple solution.
Im afraid I disagree with this comment. There were a few frames produced that had the swing arm pivot as part of the bottom bracket shell. These suffered really bad pedalling induced suspension bob. The best rear suspension designs as far as isolating pedalling forces go are the ones that serve to increase the BB axle to rear wheel axle distance under pedalling load. Horst link designs for example. The Nicolai's wouldnt be too bad due to having a fairly high pivot point, but still not perfect. If the frames design has concentric drive sproket and swing arm pivot, there will always be a turning moment applied to the swing arm.
I agree with the other comments though.

More to the point it stops you dropping a chain. There is no need for a chain tensioner because the chain length is constant, while having a raised suspension pivot point.
14 gears is too many for a DH bike really, so they now build one with G-Boxx 2, which only has 7 speeds. This is far simper housing 14 different size sprockets and 7 mini chain runs, all internal.

Ive got a Rapha coloured Lavoro (same as the pic above) for track use at the moment. I really like the way it rides, but Ive only riden it indoors at Newport. Couldnt comment how it rides on the road. The head tube on my 55cm frame is 160mm long!! Ive got Deda Pista bars on it though so they compensate for this by way of their large drop.
What I will agree on is that it is bloody stiff, it also has massive toe overlap even with 165 cranks. I wouldnt fancy riding it on road. Get a Pista if that is what you want it for.

Loads of modern track bikes seem to come wth these forks as standard, including Koga Miyata full pro track, Condor Lavoro, Bianchi Pista Concept, De Rosa Merak, Alpina (as fitted to Dolan Track Champion etc etc.
They are obviously out sourced, but who actually makes them?
And does anyone know what rake they are?
