Afternoon All,
Have a friend who is after a runaround/pub/beater bike to get him around London. Based in Old Street so anything not too far to get to is a bonus. After something reliable and in good working order.
Ideally geared, suspension not a must have. Budget will push to £100 for the right bicycle. Said friend is around 5ft8 so something to fit that would be grand.
Thank you!

Afternoon Chaps - tweed jacket for sale - £9, bought 2nd hand for last years tweed run but never worn as a tad large on me.
Marks & Spencer - 100% Pure New Wool
Marked as a "medium - to fit 40 inch chest", would say it is verging on a large.
I'm 5ft8 11stone (normally a medium in teeshirts ) if you want to gauge a fit from the pictures.
Based in hertfordshire, welwyn if anyone is local, welcome to come and try it on. Otherwise can post at cost. Will check postage prices and update in anyone interested
Can't seem to get photos to upload so hopefully this facebook link will work.

Evening guys,
Little sister just started at uni so after a bicycle to help her out with the trek into campus.
- She's about 5ft4 so perhaps 19-20" frame?
Budget wise - something under the 100 mark.
I am thinking something like a Raleigh Mixte / Dawes Londoner - these would be great.
Anything in London / Hertfordshire / Leeds?
Cheers :)

Hey noorkoiv, real sorry to hear about that.
recycle have a "book of stolen bikes", go and get yours written down in it so if the scally tries to sell it to them- alarm bells should ring. Don't know myself but Bikology might do something similar-worth a shot. Make sure you report it to all the various authorities (Uni, police etc).
Hope it turns up.

Afternoon All,
Longtime lurker on the thread and wanted to pick your brains for some knowledge on a potential upgrade if that’s cool!
Currently got the De’Longhi below. Was my first foray into coffee machines along with a porlex grinder and it’s done the job but seems to struggle lately. Looking to upgrade to something better with a budget of around 200.

Have read the thread countless times and the Gaggia Classic seems to get positive reviews and is on budget.
In eejit’s terms though I just want to be sure I understand the differences between machines, and that for the money I’m getting an improvement on what I’ve got (as well as one that I can notice). Comparing something like the Classic to my current machine, are the main benefits the portafilter and solenoid valve?
I’ve checked out the Which? report on coffee machines and the below got a good review. Anybody had one of these or any thoughts on it?

Any thoughts and advice would be awesome as learnt so much from this thread already.
Cheers all,
John.
