I think Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy by Steve Mann covered this, suggesting it was a bit of an old- school approach. Shout if you don't have this book and I'll try and dig out that section.
It's a hard one, I'd argue crying it out doesn't necessarily make for a happy puppy and you could take a more positive reinforcement/ease them in approach.
We slept on a blow-up mattress next to ours for that initial period. Could have probably pulled away quicker but similarly we had differences in opinion.

Thought this might be worth a go here...
Ted Baker Endurance suit in a regular (not slim) fit. Wear to the trousers but overall in great condition and cost almost £400 new.
Selling as I've lost a bunch of weight cycling.

Bought from the forum in 2018 and previously forum owned from new. I’m making use of Cycle-to-Work and sadly can’t keep this.
It’s in fair condition, I’ve used this year round so there are marks to reflect this. More recently I’ve repaired a large paint chip (pictured), later finding out Condor stock “Ferrari yellow” which looks a closer match. I’ve not long popped a new chain on and the gears need some tuning.
It’s not perfect, but I’m hoping the price is fair and that someone on here will enjoy this as much as I have.
Price: £200
Collection: Hitchin, five-minute walk from the station, thirty minute train from St Pancras

I’m 173 cm tall and fairly average proportions. Scherrit at The Bike Whisperer suggested it would suit someone longer in the body and measured it as follows:Top tube: 55cm
Stack: 520mm
Headtube angle: 74 degrees
Seat tube angle: 75 degrees
Handlebar drop: 150mmSpecification
Campagnolo - Mirage/Veloce groupset

Biothane leads are worth a look, they don't hold water like fabric and wipe clean which is handy in winter.
Having something to carry all the walking/training paraphernalia with you is useful, whatever that might be. For us it's a cheap bumbag.
If the heat gets to them you might want to look at a cooling coat and Weatherbeeta are good.
One thing we wouldn't be without is a "frozen Kong". Keeps ours occupied for a good while which was a godsend in the workng from home with a puppy stage.
- Soak dried food in water overnight
- Whazz with a stick blender or similar
- Spoon mixture into the Kong

Thanks all – really helpful @lynx @el_presidente @christianSpaceman @hugo7
Spoke to the seller and think they’re genuinely helpful. Must be careful not to turn into a cynical bastard. V5 checks out too, watch this space.

In case helpful – some time ago I asked Exposure what the difference was between the Flare (75 lumens) and Blaze (80 lumens) and they responded:
The 5 lumen difference isn’t a great deal as rear lights don’t require huge outputs to make them very visible to other road users.
However, the technological and design progression from the Flare to the Blaze is significant, with improved battery capacity and run times, better waterproofing and easier functionality. The ReAKT and Peloton versions also feature smart tech that provide real rider benefits.

Looking to give this chain waxing a go for the first time…
Can anyone comment on how “clean” Molten Speed Wax or Silca Hot Melt Wax are?
I’m in it for the cleanliness and saw a few posts back that this might not be the case, or is that just the drip-on lubes?

Sadly time to move my Condor Italia on, linking here in case it's of interest, would love for it to stay in the forum.
