Afternoon all - I've got a pair of brand new and unused mavic cxp33's in black, 28 hole. I was going to build them up for myself but if I'm honest, I feel like I really should use 36h rims 'cos I'm a fat bastard.

They've been sitting in a box for the last 6 months and if I remember right there's one thin scratch on the black anodised section but otherwise as you'd expect from a pair of unused rims.

That is friggin awesome right there. If only the old girl still lived in the states, I'd 'import' a few (they're probably illegal here).

I'm on a 65" - the flip side of the hub gives me 68"ish which feels 'right' but lets just say that I'm a couple of stone too heavy for it!

Unfortunately I don't have room for a really classy looking fixed - although I'll make it if the right vintage frame comes up that's about 58cm ST and 54cm TT! So here's the everyday bike for commuting, pub duty, mucky winter rides and other miscellany:

Just registered on here, I think I might have seen one or two people off here around. Got talking to a couple of guys riding brakeless on Saturday morning at A Fair Cup on the centre - one black Bob Jackson (not midnight blue, PJ!) and another no name bike whose owner is currently building up a Holdsworth.

I'm currently on my fully wintered up bright red Raleigh with drops, both brakes, guards and dynamo lighting.

Glad it's just the front - I knackered a rear brake bridge drilling out for allen bolt brakes. That was before I started getting advice from internet forums... ;)

I saw one of these in Garlands, Bedminster - it kind of struck me as the same kind of style over substance as Charge but with a higher price tag!
