Terribly sad. R.I.P

My friend came off his bike at 8.35pm last night on the Old Kent road near Elephant and Castle (http://www.strava.com/activities/64846918). He woke up in hospital at 11pm and doesn't know what happened. If anyone saw anything then please share here so we can work out what happened.

There might be a better place to post this, but I'll put it here for now. Keep your eyes peeled for this cab... Registration number: K961EVL (yeah, I know, the irony); Licence 36984; It's one of those Maroon/Purplish cabs and it came within an inch of taking me out doing about 50mph down Haymarket. I know that nearly all taxis are driven by nutters, but the driver behind the wheel of this cab makes Ed Gein look like a guy you'd be happy to have babysit your kids.

Arbor do some nice boards... I ride a 36" Cruiser... you used to be able to get them from Surrey Skateboards in Woking but they closed down. I see a lot of people on Lush board in Crystal Palace so they must be pretty good

I'd say it really doesn't matter what miser you have at the start... but if you can find one with replaceable sliders then that's a real advantage as you'll rip through them in no time. Maplins used to do a great 6 channel mixer with a neat little Aux send and return to plug in your own delay unit (But I'm going back to early 1990s here!). As far as decks it's all about 1200 or 1210s - and get the black ones they look so much better than the silver ones. Look after them and they'll last a lifetime.. I still use my decks every day and they are nearly 20 years old. All that said... it's so much easier with Tracktor, you'll be juggling like a pro in a matter or minutes.
