Did not see your earlier post but looks like cement yes render coat, plaster gypsum skim coat which for some reason has been painted with gloss paint then at a later date skimmed again.
So yes plenty of layers to attract moisture but is the damp really that bad? I can not see from this photo

@hoefla my hip is doing alright had a appointment with the consultant yesterday and they are very pleased with how it has healed. I still get pain but know I can do 50k pretty comfortably

@Skülly do want Sunday post as a ride in its own right instead of being hidden in this thread?

Ride with minimal road sections. Think about tyres. Think about nettles. Think mud if there's been rain. Think about a nice swim in a lake. Think about a picnic.

FROM: Dorking Station (main) start 0915hrs. We will co-odinate trains so none are too swamped, will aim at 2riders ish per train. More local riders welcome to meet at the start of course. Might be able to bend the rules in the morning with nice guards. Will delay start for later arrivals if there are problems with travel.

Thanks I rode it home from Bromley by Bow to Surrey Quays 4 weeks after my Hip replacement so it works but the 45 years experience of bike mechanics says to me it needs a full service.
