I don't think you've misunderstood it Bikebuilder but you might be trying fit a square peg into a round hole... :)
I use a White Ind Eno hub which gives a 47.5 chainline (middle ring for an mtb I believe). White say their Eno cranks give a 47.5 chainline with a 113 BB. I used an el cheapo 113 BB to verify this and reckoned it was about 48 - then went for a 111 Phil knowing I had enough clearance and could tweak the chainline around 2mm if required (it wasn't in the end)
This only leaves me with about 3mm for the lockring to clear the shell - so I don't think a 103 would work for me. I guess White would know better though...
Have a look at this thread....
[ame="http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=320547"]What bb to use with WI Eno Crank? - Mtbr.com Forums[/ame]
Some heated debate on there about what BB is required - with one chap vociferously stating you must use a 122(!) but most admitting that 110+ would be ok.
Unfortunately, when I was asking around, the general advice was always to try it out with a cheap BB first - hardly ideal I know :(
P.S I notice you say you are using Track hubs - you know the White Ind chainrings only go up to 44t, right?
-
In my case I wanted to switch to an eccentric eno hub to open up some other frame options, plus I'd been annoyed with creaking crank bolts, mangling knuckles tightening them, and chain tight-spots (not to mention the previous spidered crank cracking fatally)...
Ach, who am I kidding? You got me, it was love at first sight.
For shame...
-
Depends what you mean by "a proper chainline"?
On their website they suggest a 113 - which is also what their BBs are...
http://www.whiteind.com/techcorner/crankinstructions.html
http://www.whiteind.com/bottombrackets.htmlI plumped for a 111 Phil, as I knew that it would give me a small amount of adjustability either way.
I wouldn't have been able to get away with a 103 I don't think. Either the lockring would foul on the shell or the ring on the stay...

I think i'm the only person on this forum that doesn't like the Milawauke hoodie. I wanted one till I tried it but I found it too thick and warm for riding in this country, I think it's it's ugly and i don't like the shape. Actually I don't like hoods for riding anyway (they either act as parachutes when down or blinkers when up). I do need new winter riding jacket though... sorry, back to trousers.
I like mine, but I know what you mean. I doubt I would actually wear it again for cycling - unless it was a couple of miles downhill in sub-zero temperatures (where a drag-racing parachute and oven-like warmth may actually come in handy!).
The few times I have tried I've got far too hot and had to garotte myself with the hood cord to stop it billowing around. I must be doing something wrong...?

Thierry Henry is a cheating cunt!!!!!!!!!!!! he has just controlled with his hand and crossed to gallas to score. Thats one of the most blatant handballs i have ever seen, probably since maradona.
How this guy gets away with accusing others of cheating, when his career is littered with examples such as this, I struggle to comprehend.
I understand It's all part of the game these days, but wheeling away as if you've just volleyed it into the top corner when you have actually controlled the ball twice with your hand is hard to stomach. Particularly from someone who will try to claim the moral high ground when it suits him.

It's ok, I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'll never find them. It's a sad feeling when you know that probably the best shoes you'll ever own are on their last legs.

might be worth an email to these guys to see if they have one knocking around? They seem to have 2.5 versions in pairs anyway...

I have used them before and the service has been impeccable.
FWIW I have the exact levers you want - bought from Ebay, took 2 months to arrive, got taxed and then found they had a faulty part. Since then have used Aspire - took 4 days, no tax and v helpful comms.

The lockblocks are great, the velcro is the super-strong type, you really have to yank on it to get it to separate and undo. The plastic holder pieces are also soft rubber and automatically mould to whatever that are wrapped around, so you can really crank the velcro holding straps tight. No slippage or wobbles at all.
+1... I had my doubts about them too but they are very secure and rattle free (unlike many of the 'normal' bike attachments I've used). Super-quick removal too obviously...

Moving my comments from other thread as suggested...
I christened mine today and can only echo the sentiments expressed above. I had some slight doubts as to whether it was big enough for my squirrel-like needs - as it turns out, I didn't even need the third pocket...
Pros...
Barely noticable once secured (although in fairness I left my lock at home this time).
No more half empty backpacks or rattly saddle bags.
Elastic pump straps hold even my fat and fugly mini pump securely.
Quick access to everything whilst in situ (bringing an end to my daily roadside scramble to find a ringing phone lost in bag).
Can be fixed to chest strap of backpack for transporting baby kangeroos or super-quick A-Z/map access.
Added bonus feature - stops shorts from riding up, preventing arrival at the office with post-ride camel toe.Cons...
Now I need to buy more shorts with belt loops (fits perfectly between Swrve ones).
No more post-ride camel toe? (^see above^)
Erm... I stumbled like a new born calf trying to put my new 'heavy' shorts on.Thank you Scott

Well, he went up in my estimation after today's outburst. He was clearly frustrated by the lack of warning of upcoming ad breaks and the fact that they were interrupting important post-race footage - which I guess is a feeling that's very familiar to all Eurosport viewers...?
Kinda ironic that he blurted that out when they hadn't actually cut to an ad though! :)
Sorry that turned into a bit of a ramble...
To clarify - White are mathematically correct about the 103. As that would give you a 42.5 chainline based on their figures - and using a Phil would allow you to tweak that to 42 easily.
I'm just not sure they could guarantee that gives enough clearance for the lockring or chainring though?
